It can't be his thumb because the thumb can't alighn with the fingers like that. I say it was just a stupid goof up. I've seen that happen before with other TMNT art back in the day.

Nice
Agh!
Holy hay-soos marimba!
Speaking of problems with the old toon DVD, did anyone ever notice that in the 4 never-before-seen episodes that one of them is played after the other in the wrong order? I think the second episode was called "The Return of Dregg" but it was supposed to be the first.
I'll try to explain better. In the first ep, Dregg has an assistant that looks like an alien Paul Bearer with a Hugh Hefner bathrobe. However...
...in the ep after that, we are introduced to that new character. Wha? :-?
Anyone else notice THAT?

Oh yeah. We all noticed that.
Pretty stupid. Just a tiny bit more effort to put them in order. But that's no big deal, I guess. Should you ever choose to rewatch them you can just view them in the correct order yourself.
Oh, I know. But what with some people complaining on the spines of the new toon DVD being awkward and also about the narration parts on Volumes 7 & 8 being cut out, I thought there would be more whining on that.

Jeez, there are so many mistakes on that DVD. Granted, I have it and I am thankful that they came out with it. Such as, the back has he beginning of the new theme song on it. Two of the bonus episodes are out of order, the new finger thing, which i never noticed before, and I am sure that there will be more to come. It doesn't seem like they spent that much time on this dvd.

The episode was also titled Shredder Gets Splintered, but I THINK after the show became a regular series, it was named Shredder and splintered.
THIS TOO has been bugging me that return of Dregg aired after New Beginning.

AHHHH thank you... I KNEW there was something 'off' about that title... but I figured I just couldn't remember it right.
the finger thing is also weird.. o.o makes him look even more cartoony.
We need to pester whoever's in control of the dvd releases for QUALITY CONTROL... >_>

Back when the DVD was first released in April, I made a comment about some of the mistakes and stuff. People kinda jumped on my case about it, but I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who feels this way. In all seriousness, I love this DVD, and I would never have not bought it. I was prepared to pay twice as much as I had to pay for it, But, it does kinda seem like Artisan was ready to cash on the new fame of the turtles by releasing this DVD. I don't think they spent too much time developing it. But this happened sometimes with their old school VHS tapes. For example, Hot Rodding Teenagers was followed by a Thing About Rats. So maybe the problem is that Artisan really just doesn't know the toon all that well and just wants to collect the cash for selling them.

It's probably meant to be his thumb.
