I know in the new show action will take place of the inane zanyness of the older show. but i have a few fears reguarding the turtles's personality.

In the old show Leo was very whiney, raphael was a smartass instead of a badass like in the comics, Donatello was too nerdy and serious he lost his sense of humor and bond with michelangelo he had in the comics & movie, and lastly mike was far overdone..

I really hope the new show renders that. at Foxbox.tv they sat raphael is a hothead which is good but i still don't know about the rest.

I also hope they don't go pizza-crazy like in the old show.

don't know. i think it might be somewhat related to either the comics or the movies.

It looks like they will keep thier Mirage personalities to me, I never saw Leo as whiney though he was more of the quiet turtle in the old cartoon.

Well, from what I've seen from the profiles on the Fox Box site, the personalities will be very much the same as the Mirage comics. Leo's still the leader, very honor bound and a perfectionist, Raph's a hothead with a love of fighting, Mikey's the comic relief, but not stupid or slow, and Don's the natural engineering genius. I just wonder how the other characters are going to be portrayed.

*gives a sign of agreement*

Would be great to get Splinter more involved.
Hope that he and the turtles will be acting like a kind of >family< (well, they are a family more less...)

btw could somebody confirm this or clear this up for me, has the CGI movie been completely scrapped and are they planning to possibly make a live action movie or not?

I have no idea. I keep hearing different rumors, and I haven't heard any recent official reports.

Rumors are funny, I noticed how after we were discussing Woo's involvement in the CGI movie, someone said he usually does live action stuff, and a few weeks later we heard a rumor he was changing it to a live action movie.

i have heard nothing about the cgi movie being scrapped so dont believe it until you hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak.

All the tmnt characters seem to be done accurately according to those foxbox profiles, with the possible exception of Michelangelo. I am fearful that they will make him a 'goofy, naive pop-culture whiz' when he SHOULD be portrayed as a 'relaxed, friendly, creative artist' type. Just because the guy is very open-minded, laid-back, and compassionate does not mean he is an unserious, naive goofball.

oh well, at least they hit upon the idea that Michelangelo is the most talented and agile martial artist out of them all... which is true to the original.

we'll see.......

hmmm... the official sie says that they are offering the CGI movie to various studios, nothing about a live action movie though and Woo himself isn't directing it but his company is working on it :ohwell:
