There's probably already a thread like this, and I apologize for creating another if that's a case.

I was wanting to know if any of you have some amusing stories of how your young relatives reacted to the Turtles, the new or old.

I showed my 3-year-old cousin Morgan the old cartoon series, and she loved it. She especially liked the theme song, and would even attempt to sing along to it. (Just saying, "Turtles, Turtles!") She would become occupied with other things as most 3-year-olds do when the boys weren't on the screen, but when they were, her attention was on them 100%. She especially likes Leonardo (probably noting that I was paying special attention to him, since he's my fave :tanime: ), and went up to the screen while he was talking, touched his nose with her little finger, and said, "I like this one." I told her he was Leonardo, and she said after me, to the best of her ability, "Leadough." :tlol: It was so cute.

So, tell me your stories!

Every time my nephew (5 years old) comes to my house; he wants to see the only TMNT tape I have (thing about rats and enter the shredder - not even in the right order!) He really likes it and will soon know every single phrase, like I did when I was his age..

And I found out recently that he's watching the new cartoon show, without any recommendation from me, which makes me very proud of him

My nephew LOVES TMNT (he's 3 btw). I got him addicted ;). Every time he's here, he wants to watch the first movie, then he wants to play with my TMNT collection.

He's really funny too... I can get him to say "cowabunga dude!" on command now  .

Well, I don't know any youngsters personally but I do work at Suncoast Video. We sel all sorts of TMNT crap. All the DVDs, toys, the trading cards, evrything. And kids eat them up. I saw one the other day, he was trying to name the turtles for his dad. His dad knew who they were and was helping him out. "Who's the orange one?" "...Micelangelo?" "Very good!"

And other disgustingly cute crap like that. So it would appear they're very popular.

my nephew is 6, he's been watching my "hot roddin teenagers from dimension x" and "super bebop and mighty rocksteady" video's for years, he loves it and likes the new series, too. I've been wanting to watch some of the new dvd's with him, but I haven't had the chance.

there's a friend of the family that i let have my old school TMNT tapes (dumb move) but he loves to play with my tmnt action figures....in fact he helped me build my NT:TNM collection while i was in Italy....he bought them for me for my birthday....but anyway the humorous story. i had some tmnt eps on my cpu and i was showing them to this kid....it was a red sky mutation ep.....and he was freaked out.....he covered his eyes and whimpered....so i turned it off. I didn't think he'd have that reaction....

I showed my little cousin the Fox Box toon adaption of the Donatello Special, and he loved it. He even speculated that Kirby would draw a turtle and I told him to wait anf see.

My cousin always plays with my old toys, and Raphael has always been one of his favorites, he always asks me to give it to him....then I tell him to **** off, that brat has already stole some of my transformers (I found them in his sandbox :x )

and @ cormano, nice avatar, I'm a big fan of El Producto, didn't know there were any other jukies on these boards

I introduced my son to the turtles when he was first-born. I have an old TMNT quilt from 1990 that's still on my bed. At times I laid him down on it so he could take a nap.

When he was older, about 4, I gave him my old toys that were pretty banged up. He still loves to play with them.

He watches the new toon from time to time but likes the old toon better! How 'bout that? Makes the Technodrome proud, eh?

No new stories...but Back In The Day, I got my younger brother into turtles and he decided Mikey was his favorite but he couldn't pronounce it at the time so he'd say "Mikey-an-gi-oh." He also used to try and playfight with me as well...: "I'm Mikey-an-gi-oh, you're Shredder, let's fight!"

Chris likes to call Mikey, "Mikeyangelo" on purpose, i thought he couldnt say his name normally but o, he said he likes Mikey so he gave him a nickname.

The TMNT stuff (not crap) is the first thing my little brother goes to every time at the store. Most of the toys are already sold by the time we go to the store.

hahaha..that's awesome about the nickname (:

My brother also picked up Raph's "damn" from the movies... oooooo that didn't make my parents too happy about the turtles -_-;;;;;;;
