Well I do walk the streets spinning nunchaku on my middle finger while telling everyone to keep practicing like Mikey in the first movie (not really). I really don't quote the turtles. It's probably partially due to not knowing anyone in real life/personally/offline that likes them. As a kid I knew many other kids who liked them. As an adult I don't know anyone aside from people on this message board that like them.
I shout, "COMBAT COLD-CUTS!" at the deli in Wal-Mart.
I say, "I like it! Step up." to a hot chick in lingerie.
I cry, "And next time I'll use mustard!" whenever I'm using mustard.
I yell, "Goongala!" at work sometimes.
And I pretty much call everybody "Bogey".

Oh man...you don't want to KNOW how often I quote the turtles... Mostly stuff from the movies because I've had the access to watch them 5000 million and a half times.
I'll quote them whether or not it has anything to do with the conversation...and I'll quote the randomest lines that aren't even that interesting--like...if Donny said something like "hey how're you?" I'll quote *that* with whatever inflection he used on it ("Yeaaaah...y-yeeaaah!").
Don't mention Link to the Past to me, or you WILL hear... "....THE MISSING LIIINK!"
And I'll quote to people who have NO CLUE what I'm talking about...sometimes the quote fits in the conversation and they'll be totally unaware that I just quoted something and other times they're just confused... definitely need more turtles fans around to bounce quotes off ^_^
Actually.... ingestion is the only course'
I say dude wayyyyy too much... and in....many situations XD;; confused my now-ex. ::cackles::
My dad also quotes them but only certain ones, over and over and over again (he also over and over and over again says how he can't tell the turtles apart o.O ).
EVERY SINGLE TIME we have pizza he does the whole 'never pay full price for late pizza thing'... and he says awesome nova and I always say 'chevy nova' back and he never remembers that that's from the movie ^_~ And if I complain about any job/chore/etc he has to say "It's more than a job, it's an adventure"
I know I've told someone "The only thing safe in the forest...would be the trees!" ;)

I usually quote Casey Jones about once a day.
unless I can find a way to do it more often :P
That and "Don't make me get Sarcastic!"

Same here. Casey's the man. I can almost always incorproate a Casey line into any situation I'm in.

My favorite thing to do in an argument is:
He's right
She's right
They're both right...
Whenever we get pizza my three brothers (yeah, there's four of us, heh heh) and I always take "a moment to reflect."
I use Raph's growl from the new show whenever I get mad (usually in traffic)
My actual voice is pretty close to Corey Feldmans, so I, like Zelda, find my self saying normal things using Donnie's inflections and manurisms.

me and my buddy used to do the alphabet insult thing that casey and raph used to do in the comics. Also we used to always say "Dont even think about it, Mike", like Raph says to Mike in Return to New York (the comic).

Lucky! I don't sound like ANY of them... maybe *vaguely* like April... >_>
When playing Nintendo I often do Leo's "Ya miiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssed meeeeeeeee!" And "Short enough for ya?" I can't remember when I've used it, but I know I have more than a few times.
I always wanted to try the alphabet insult thing ;_;

Most people don't realize that they are quoting the Turtles when they do. And most people don't realize you're quoting the Turtles when you do. I think the only thing I quote on a regular basis is "DAMN!" Raphael from the first movie.
I more often quote a quote that people don't relaize is from a movie. "You got to walk like a more primative ape." From Conquest of the Planet of the Apes.

After watching several episodes of TMNT Old Toon, for some reason a lot of my thoughts are in Mikey's voice.
He's got such a contagious personality...
I say "Holy Guacamole!" and "Dude" a lot.
I also sometimes talk using Shredders subtle accent... :goofygri:
Not on purpose, either.

hey alot of people use tmnt...sometimes i forget i'm quoting tmnt....and thanks to whoever killed the other doublr topic post... :D
I've only used it a few times, but when I'm talking with some friends and I make a lame joke (which is oh-so-often) and there's an awkward silence, I'll toss out the ol' "...Chevy Nova?", much to the amusement of all!
Well, mostly to the amusement of me. But they mostly get the reference, anyway. ;)

I don't often quote stuff from TMNT but I quote a hell of a lot off Futurama, mainly just funny scenes so people remember them also the sdame with beast wars cause I can do a spot on Waspinator and Megs personation.

I use
"And now... what now?" I believe it's from the first movie. and the translation is, as usual, not the best.
or "Seen it 60 times and never laughed"

I have the 'Mikey's in the hizouse!' but alter it for my name
Or I say 'I am soooo gonna enjoy this'
I also use the 'I like it, step up'
My friend and I quote stuff a lot
Sometimes when my friends and I are talking about buying stuff I usually say, "Two for one sale, pal."
And I also use Raph's "Damn!" cry from time to time. I forgot to mention it.
Does anybody else dance to "Tequila" and at the right time yell, "Ninjitsu!"? I do. :D
Zelda
07-03-2004, 09:28 PM
OH MAN!! I totally did the "NINJITSU!" at the alpha psi (theatre society) ball... I don't think anyone had a CLUE what I was doing XDD but they were playing that song and I couldn't resist....!!
Darnit...there was one I used today but now I can't remember it... it was one of those phrases that was in the movies, but it sounds like it could have come from anywhere (unlike combat cold-cuts ;) ) but quoting it and maintaining the inflection they used. It wasn't the "Yeah, oooo-kay" but was a similar line.
I always wanted to use the "Ab-so-lut-ly...sha-WING!" XD I have no clue what's up with sha-wing but it cracks me up anyway.
Was it: "Ya missed me!" from Leo in TMNT III?
Oh! I just remembered another quote I use. When I'm waiting a long time for something, like in a bank or the doctor's office, I say, "I wish I brought some comics." like human Bebop said in the first season of the old toon.
Zelda
07-04-2004, 12:42 PM
Nah, but I do use that when playing nintendo ;)
It was something with a yeah in it I think... @_@ I might just have to watch the movies again to find out <3
Was it from the second movie? The part where Don finds that clown thing at the beginning and goes, "Yeah..yea-YEAHHHHHH."? Is that what you're thinking of?
Zelda
07-04-2004, 07:12 PM
Nope, but I do use that one ;) And I definitely tried Mikeys' 'walk the dog...and then...AROUND THE WORLD!' more than a few times.
I usually just find myself reciting whole episodes whenever I'm in the shower or washing dishes... :goofygri:
The ones I recite the most:
Meet Casey Jones
Darkness on the Edge of Town
The Way of Invisibility :D
How's that for everyday quotes? :)
Wow. And to think most people just sing in the shower. You are a true connosieur of the shower, my friend. :D

I can't listen to 'Tequila' without saying 'nijitsu'. :P
Quotes? I think that I think them more than speak them, but I definately use them. I'm more likely to use them when I'm with a friend (I live alone and even go to the mall alone, so I don't have too many opportunities for this, unfortunately). But I still catch my self saying things like this alot, right outta the blue.
One I particularly like is, "Does the phrase, 'Go suck a lemon' hold any meanin' for ya?" (I think Raphael said it, sometime in the first season of the original.)
Almost every time the game cricket comes up, the phrase, "Cricket? No one understands cricket! You've gotta know what a crumpet is to understand cricket!" pops into my mind. :D
Ah, yeah, I use Donatello's "It's a Kodak moment" (with his inflection) as well. One of my favorites.
I know there's more I use, but I can't seem to think of them right now.
And oddly enough, I've only just now realized where I got "Holy Guacamole" from. :P

I can agree with the Tequila as well I always say Ninjitsu whenever I hear that song

I REMEMBERED WHAT IT WAS WITH THE YEAH!
::ahem::
Touchdown...yeeeeeaaaah! (and I was saying it because I got my cross-computer CD burning to work).
My dad also decided to say "Radical! Radical! Radical!" yesterday when I was trying to watch the new show ;p
OH! Of course! I knew it had to be from TMNT II!
And I myself use Casey's nicknaming quote from the first movie:
"Lead the way, toots! Babe? Sweetcakes? Ah! Princess! You wanna give me a clue here? I'm drownin'."
April got offended but so far the girls I say it to like it. I always get a smile, if not a laugh. For you guys: it helps if you act exactly how Elias Koteas did in the movie.

YUP... TMNT2 was my fav and TMNT1 used to be second place but now it's tying with TMNT3 (how can I resist "Ohayo wasabi" "...hello mustard??" )
hahahha, it's all about the cutely failing pride... ;)

Quoting the TMNT during everyday life is a lot of fun. Too bad most of the people don't seem to get it. :embarass:
I love using a lot of Mikey's lines: "He's like the Shredinator or something!" when talking about my boss, "I'm the pretty one!" whenever my friends and I meet new people, "Please, a moment to reflect!" before eating pizza, etc. :goofygri:

For some reason I find I tend to use one Mikey quote from the new show a lot....
"In your face invisiable man, smoked your transparent butt!"
I am not even sure why, but whenever I am just standing around I tend to say it....
*laughs*
I recall one time when my friend was passed out on the floor. I jumped over him and used a Donnie quote from TMNT III:
"Whoa...a little log there."
Then I was at a party and many people were sleeping on the carpet. I decided to skip over them to get a Bacardi and said:
"Woop...more logs. Heh heh heh."

I always wanted to use the "Ab-so-lut-ly...sha-WING!" XD I have no clue what's up with sha-wing but it cracks me up anyway.
it's a quote from "Wayne's World" i use it all the time i see a hot chick....that and Hachi Machi from the critic.
"Heather Locklear, uber-babe. Shaaaawing!!!!"
Zelda

I still don't know how I've managed to not see either of the Wayne's World's... @_@ someday I guess.
Whoever in the Coming out of their Shells thread posted that link to all the mp3s.... THANK YOU <3 I miss my TMNT2 soundtrack tape ;_; and it reminded me of another quote: full Volume!
I had (still have) a mini keyboard which, when you turn it on, is always set to maximum volume aka REALLY LOUD x.x And the volume button makes a sound when you use it so you have to hear 3-4 really loud clicks before it gets into normal vol range :P
Let me guess...it's a Casio, right?

I am a quoting machine!
My Dad and I are constantly quoting B-movies, and Simpsons episodes.
As far as TMNT quotes go:
My aol away message:
"We're not the guardians of society Raphael, we never were"
-Donatello Vol.1 #19
and my AIM profile includes:
"Goodbye Baxter. Rot in Hell"
-Donatello Vol.4 #9
In conversations, I prefer to make TMNT references rather than quotes, really obscure ones, so I can have fun explaining them.

Casio or Sony...something like that I think, I'd have to look at the label ^_^;
I start with the surfer talk whenever I have a hankerin' for pizza. My mom always smirks when I do it: she knows who I'm trying to act like.

I guess I don't quote the TMNT as often as I would like to, but there was this one time that I was with a few friends of mine (this was in highschool), and I was having a small argument with one of my friends, I was telling my friend not to skip class again, and my friend was like: You're not the boss of me! Quit acting like some great leader! And I said: I never said I was a great leader! And my friend added: Well, you sure act like it! And I added: Yeah, well you act like a jerk sometimes! Before we knew it we were sub-conciously quoting the TMNT. My other friend noticed it and added after me: ...and this attitude of yours isn't helping! From that point, my friend finnished quoting the rest of the lines from that scene. We had a good laugh about it!

I rarely quote TMNT, but every now and then a scene or a sentence from the movies or the series pops up in my mind with perfect clarity... People tend to look at me funny when I start laughing to myself for no apparent reason... On the occation I do quote TMNT it's usually in company of pizza:
Michelangelo: Ahh, ninja pizza!
Donatello: "Ninja pizza"?
Michelangelo: Pizza that vanish quickly without trace!
April O'Neil: Let me get you guys some napkins.
Michelangelo: What for?
Hee hee... Gotta love 'em.

Whenever someone offers my friends and I napkins, we always respond with "what for?" I completely forgot it was TMNT...
Whenever I'm with my friends and we're looking at something different I usually say "Well, it certainly is ninjaesque"
Recently though, I only quote Invader Zim!

For some reason I find my self sometimes saying "California roll".
I also did the napkins thing alot.
Here's one between me and my girlfreind: She asked me to help her with something so I reply "I'm your man I'm Mr. Fixit" She goes OK? Then I say lead the way toots What she say's, Babe, sweetcakes, Ahh! Princess! Gimme a clue here I'm drowning?, She just look's at me.

A couple of my absolute all-time favorite movie quotes, and I can't believe none of you have said these ones yet, are...
When Mikey and Raph walk in on Casey giving April a back massage in the first movie, and Mikey picks up the turtle wax, points to it, and laughs, and then Raph comes up and gives him a noogie on his head and says "FUNNY MIKEEEEY!" in a really funny way. My little bro and I quote that line ALL THE TIME exactly how Raph says it.
The other line is just one word that Raph says but it's one of the coolest parts of the whole movie. Raph is standing on top of the barn at April's country house and puts his hands in the air like Rocky and yells "SPLINTEEEEEEEEEEEEEER!!!!!!!!!" When you watch that scene you can just tell how much pain Raph is feeling just by the way he shouts his beloved master's name. Sure it's sort of a parody from the Rocky movies when Rocky shouts "ADRIAAAAAAN" but whatever, I still love that part.
