I have absolutely no idea. It's a co-op PvP, whatever that means. Not really my kind of game. Couldn't get into Friday the 13th either.

Yeah... my guess is that 3 people get to play as various Evil Dead characters (Ash, Kelly, the knight guy, the other guy, probably other characters they'll reveal like Old Ash and Pablo) while 1 guy or even a team of guys get to play as Deadites.

That's a bummer, I just want a decent single-player action/survival horror game. This franchise has never had a truly good one, and it deserves one.

Some of the older ones were "playable", and I definitely had fun with a couple of them, but they're not like "great" or anything. Pretty far from great.

I know this online PvP sh*t is where the money is now, but it's frustrating to me personally because I would never, ever play that kind of game and I'd really love a good Evil Dead game, which I think could finally be done with technology where it is. Frankly I don't even think that kind of game fits this property at all, but obviously that's not what they're thinking about.

Ah well.

What's the point in calling this "Evil Dead - The game"? This is not the first Evil Dead Game.

Cause its everything Evil Dead in one game. This has characters from Evil Dead Evil Dead 2 dead by Dawn Army of Darkness and Ash Vs Evil Dead. Probably more characters will be announced later.

It's also just how these things work. They did the same thing when the Ghostbusters game came out on Xbox 360 and PS3, despite the fact that there had been Ghostbusters games on multiple consoles going all the way back to the Commodore 64 era. They could just as well have given it a fancy subtitle but they settled on just calling it "Ghostbusters: The Video Game", even though it wasn't the first by any means.

These things happen.

Just played Predator: Hunting Grounds, which is a lot like the F13 game (online only, people play as counselors as 1 person plays as Jason... in this case, people play as members of a fireteam and 1 person plays as a Predator)... if this is more like Hunting Grounds and less like the F13 game, I think it could be a moderate hoot. But I still hope there is something resembling a single player game in there.
