Soda's and soft drinks are the new cigarette's, pretty soon they'll say soda causes death and say kids won't be able to drink it under 18. It's weird that places like MCdonald's and Burger King serve soda's to kids regularly, I think it's going to stop soon.

Goodbye Coca Cola. Goodbye Pepsi and Mountain Dew.

Maybe for you statist retards under your authoritarian overlords in NY.

The rest of us will stay sippin.

It'd be for the best. Let me tell you, ever since I cut out soda, I've never felt better before. I'm less antsy and irratible, I don't freak out here on the forums anymore. I feel great! Soda was a ball and chain weighing me down for too damn long, and I'm glad to have cut it out of my life. Now will somebody help me off this high horse? I'm getting a wedgie.

You sure it wasn't the fat hooker?

She sure didn't help matters. Now lets please quit looking in the rear view mirror here. The past is the past. Unless they start selling time machines for $19.99 at Target, there's no point in drudging up old sh*t.

No Geoffrey. Drinking and smoking is bad for you. Unprotected sex can be very bad for you. Red meat is bad for you. Driving too fast is bad for you. Hours of comics/cartoons/videogames are bad for you. But just because something is bad for you doesn't mean it's not fun. That's what makes life worth living.

Besides, plenty of healthy normal people drink soda regularly.

I don't know why I'm even arguing this point. Since it's non-intoxicating, soda industry lobbyists would have no problem shooting anything like that down.

Drinking alcohol may be fun for you, Nines, but it can still have bad effects on your health in the long run. My dad's friend had his carotid artery blocked because he was a chronic drinker and when he noticed something was wrong, he went to the doctor and had it fixed before he had a stroke. My dad's carotid was blocked from the base of his neck to the top of his head and he drank at least ten to twelve beers a day or more and only ate one meal a day because of it. Look where he is now. He can't walk, has trouble with speech, can't use his right arm anymore, and is completely dependent on others.

You can have fun with your drinking all you want, but make sure you don't do it to a point where it can damage your health and you end up not being able to do the things you like to do. My dad deeply regrets that he didn't go to the doctor like we told him to when we were seeing signs and we think he's still having mini strokes too.

Soda can be bad for you if you drink too much of it and it can lead to health problems. That's why I don't drink it that much and only drink water which is much healthier.

And didn't NY have a beverage tax on sodas? I know Illinois did that too at one point.

Edit: Having said all that, I do see your point, Nines. It's the same way with regular food and how they say certain foods may cause cancer and be bad for you and then they go and say that it won't harm you. We may as well starve ourselves with all of the foods that could potentially kill us.

I appreciate your concern B, and I'm very sorry about your Pops.

As communities, as families and as friends, we should all be encouraging one another to lead happy healthy lives. But to be coerced into specific diets by the government? Sounds pretty dystopian to me.

I know Jeph and cubed would be pretty bummed if the government started cracking down on all that freaky porn they like so much.

You do make a good point. It's all about moderation. Sadly some people have very little self control, and it's sad. I lost a cousin about 10 years ago who couldn't control his eating habits and he went in for a gastric bypass. Didn't end well. :tcry:

Jeph would be broken if there was a waffle cookie ban, I know that for certain.

Keep 'em on the side of signatures to keep track, with date markers and thread names.

BINGO cards?
Oh those bring me back.

Some material to start with:

- ToTheNines insults CyberCubed;
- CyberCubed says "this thread should be locked";
- plastroncafe goes on about women and minority rights, the patriarchy and such;
- Jephael makes everything about him;
- Andrew takes yet another shot at FW Turtles;
- A Day Inside May is mentioned;
- Tags eventually appear;
- CyberCubed and AT Man mention lesbian sex;
- CyberCubed says something that could be perceived as racist or sexist;

Good thing it's Bingo and not a drinking game.

I think CC needs a whole new bingo card just for him.

MsMarvelDuckie 03-16-2017 04:56 PM

Dont forget this one-
Cubed rants about getting older/reminisces or waxes nostalgic about something from 90's/early 2000's.

plastroncafe 03-16-2017 05:15 PM

Eh, the previous version was funnier.

Cure 03-16-2017 05:31 PM

Yeah, seriously. A bingo card is needed for when people bring up bingo cards.
