Currently listening to movie soundtracks, specifically- Ladyhawke, The Last Starfighter, and The Dark Crystal. Why, you ask? Because they are just THAT awesome! And also, I'm downloading them into my music library for gaming music and such....

"Been gone a long time...
I kinda lost my way, can't find it...
And I caught a short ride
To the grave and back this season...
I can try to get by,
But every time I start to panic...
I'm a little bit shy,
A bit strange and a little bit manic...

La da da da, da da da da
La da da da, da da da da da
[x2]

I went to a wishing well, but sank to the ocean floor
Cut up by sharpened rocks, and washed up along the shore
I reached for a shooting star, it burned a hole through my hand
Made it's way through my heart, had fun in the promised land

On the narrowing line, what a way to sort my troubles...
In a very short time, gonna pop, better duck and cover...
Can you figure me out? I got caught like a little kid stealing...
Did I say it too loud? A bit hard or a little misleading...

La da da da, da da da da
La da da da, da da da da da
[x2]

I went to a wishing well, but sank to the ocean floor
Cut up by sharpened rocks and washed up along the shore
I reached for a shooting star, it burned a hole through my hand
Made it's way through my heart, had fun in the promised land

La da da da, da da da da
La da da da, da da da da da
[x2]

I went to a wishing well, but sank to the ocean floor
Cut up by sharpened rocks and washed up along the shore
I reached for a shooting star, it burned a hole through my hand
Made it's way through my heart, had fun in the promised land..."

"I'll never let you down, boy.
I'll never let you go.
You're so into life,
It's so innocent and scary...
'So tell me that you're here, boy,'
She says as if she knows.
When God took her with time,
God made me quite alone...

It's like the universe has left me
Without a place to go,
Without a hint of light
To watch the movement glow.
When our song was slowly starting
Your memory felt so real.
At first against my will...
But God invented chills.

Yeah I...
I saw your ghost tonight
The moment felt so real
If your eyes stay right on mine,
My wounds would start to heal...

The kids are in a hurry
And I'm just full of fear.
The lights make bodies blurry,
It's getting hard enough to hear.
It's like the evidence is cared for
And evidently clear.
If I never leave this dance floor,
I'll never leave you here.

Yeah I...
I saw your ghost tonight
The moment felt so real
If your eyes stay right on mine
My wounds would start to heal...

I felt your ghost tonight
And God it felt like hell
To know you're almost mine
But dreams are all I feel...

Yeah I...
I saw your ghost tonight
It f*cking hurt like hell.
I felt you here tonight,
But dreams can't all be real...

Hatsune Miku creeps me out. She/it sounds like a child robot that's going to kill you in your sleep.

I was going to post something, but there's a mild swear word in the band name, and the song. Kung-Fu metal cutting tools -Meanest female dog.
Here's the Vandals - Pirate's Life instead:

I'm currently listening to "Mother" by Danzig because I've had it stuck in my head for the last 2 days.

Leo656 03-18-2015 08:09 PM

You can't ever go wrong with Danzig. Although I much prefer "Twist of Cain", but that's me. It's probably just because "Mother" is the only damn song anyone ever mentions. That's not your fault, though. It's a great song.

pennydreadful 03-18-2015 09:10 PM

Yeah, either "Mother" or "How the gods Kill" are the ones people reference the most, in my experience.

But I still claim legit Danzig cred as I have his entire discography, and am therefore cooler than all those other MTV poseurs. 8) Actually the reason I've had "Mother" stuck in my head is because I heard a cover version of it the other day by a singer called Lissie... which was actually very good, but I had to listen to the original to get it out.

Now you're probably gonna get "Twist of Cain" stuck in my head - thanks a lot. :P

Leo656 03-18-2015 09:14 PM

That intro, tho...

Ah f*ck it, YOU'RE WELCOME.

"Blood... like this crimson highway... spreadin' out, from his forehead to the ground..."

I'm an odd bird, though, in that like Ozzy and Sabbath, I think Danzig and the Misfits both got better without each other. It's a controversial opinion, but I stand by it.

*adds "Mother" to my Spotify* I forgot all about that song. That's the Danzig song I like best. Mainly it's because it's one of the few I've heard from Danzig. I don't listen to heavy rock. I like more classic Rock 'n Roll. :D

Leo656 03-18-2015 09:57 PM

You literally can't go wrong with anything off of the first two albums, "Danzig" and "Danzig II: Lucifuge". Everything after that is kind of a mixed bag, in my opinion; still good, but not for everyone. "BackAciDevil" is like "Eeeehhhhh..."

I kind of think anyone who can't get down to this one shouldn't be allowed to speak an opinion on anything at all, because their head is clearly full of modeling clay:

Note: I think we need to start manufacturing more "Woah"s... I'm pretty sure Danzig, The Offspring, and AFI have used up almost all of them by now...

Powder 03-18-2015 10:19 PM

Am I weird if Sistinas is my favorite Danzig song?

Leo656 03-18-2015 10:24 PM

Absolutely. But that doesn't make it wrong.

Well, Lenny Kravitz is solely responsible for the Yeah, yeah, yeah shortage of the late '90's.

I can almost hear this as being a lost Elvis song.
