Survival mode is quite hard. Made it far to level 6, but you either have to start over at the beginning or start on that difficulty. The stages themselves seem random but you always start at Edo or the black and white stage.

Survival Mode really is pretty brutal, like dang. Anyways, I do love that Karai calls herself "the true leader of the Foot" in this game. Nice callback to the original Karai from the comics, before she started getting passed around as every notable character's daughter.

You know what…. I’m at Level 16, picked the hardest difficulty and I can never beat Super Shredder even when we played multiplayer. Our lives got cut several times when battling Krang earlier.

I got the dlc and tried using Usagi but he’s still severely underpower anyway so the only thing I can do is play New Game starting over but carrying my upgrades.

Got something weird going on with my ps4 version, purchased the dlc, says it’s installed, but when I try to access survival it pops up content not available. Played story mode last night and finished it so I know that’s working. Think it’s a glitch?

Probably. Something somewhat similar happened to me yesterday. My Switch said a Shredder’s Revenge update was available so I updated it and when it finished I got some kind of error and it completely shut down my Switch. It was 6 years old so I decided getting a new Switch would be worth it.

Anyway, I just played Survival Mode. I got to the 80 crystal level. I also played story mode as Karai. I love her special attack moves!

Man, Survival is tough. Was able to get to the "final boss" and it kicked my butt. Not sure if anyone has gotten to the end but ...

So I'm confused when you lose at Survival, are you supposed to start at the basic level again (level 1 difficulty), or skip ahead to level 6+ difficulty? Don't you have to collect all the crystals again when you lose, so starting over at the easiest difficulty makes more sense?

Haven't gotten around to playing it yet, But I heard once you complete the Survival Mode, You can go back home, Or continue playing it for the leaderboard.

Well I "finished" the Survival mode. The final boss is a harder version of Super Shredder, and after you beat him you get a short ending like the main game. I did it as Michelangelo but there's no way I'm getting all the crystals again as 8 other characters so that's it for me. I did like all the cameos in the background like all the Archie universe characters especially which will be obscure to most people, so that was cool.

I there a final ending? I beat the crystal powered Super Shredder and chose to continue and then died on the next level and got a weird ending with the neutrinos.

Holy crap have I been addicted to Survival mode since it dropped last week. Played a bunch over the weekend, and beat the final boss twice with Leonardo and Michelangelo. Got to him with Raphael initially, but man he was tough when I had just a little bit of life left.

Trying to get Mikey to level 10, because I LOVE the Playmates skins in the game. Something about those bold colors with the black belts just look so damn cool.

Originally I thought I'd just play Survival here and there, but get more of a kick out of playing the story and online with Usagi and Karai but I've only gotten about 6 levels back into the story with Usagi because I've been having so much fun with Survival. Heck, haven't even played as Karai yet so there's a lot to still enjoy about this game.

According to my Switch, I'm nearing 70 hours put into this game since it was released haha.

How do you unlock the Archie and Playmates skins? Just get to level 10 in any mode or specifically Survival?

I want to say it's level 10 for Playmates and then Archie may be a certain unlockable as well? I forget since they're not really labeled, but I did notice when Raphael and Leonardo were able to get the Playmates skins, they hit level 10.

Also, seems like the team would be open to a sequel if the opportunity presented itself.


A lot of "yeah, that would be fun!" type speak and I'm sure there are a lot of other factors involved when it comes to a sequel getting green lit ... but I'd be all for it. It also sounds like they'd be more than willing to jump into a new IP too.

Truthfully, I trust them more than a lot of other companies trying to ride the coat tails of TMNT and Streets of Rage 4. That new GI Joe beat em up looked terrible.

Level 9 in Survival is Playmates, followed by Archie at Level 10.

Been grinding levels in Survival Mode for all the characters and currently have every skin unlocked for the four turtles and the two DLC characters. Just got started on April, and unlocked a neat one for her: it's based on her Season 8 and onward FW design with the jacket. Even has a teal collar to represent the shirt she wore under it!

I just realized in the DLC you fight the "real" Rahzar and Tokka as bosses if you come across them, in the main game they were just videogame versions created by Tempestra. In the DLC you fight Tokka or Rahzar individually and they faint on the ground when you beat them instead of turning into digital data like the main game, so we have the "canon" Rahzar and Tokka now thanks to the DLC.

Well, i uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, updated and still it says content unavailable. i get the funny feeling i'm going to need to buy the digital copy to play survival.

When the DLC is installed, you will notice it when you see the Survival listed in the main menu.

System says it’s installed, the ps store says I’ve purchased it and downloaded it. go to the menu, hit survival and it says buy now, it then goes back to the ps store and then says content unavailable.

Anyone else still having difficulty, I really do think it’s because I ordered the special edition that came from Europe so it keeps showing the game is uninstalled unless I purchase the ps store version.

Best way to beat Super Shredder in Survival Mode is to avoid him until he starts to spawn enemy apparitions then do a high arching jump with an attack on the descent that will linger until it makes contact with Shredder. After that try to combo him as much as possible until evading his defenses.

This game has been so much fun to play. It makes me feel like a kid again and brings back memories of me playing The Arcade Game and Turtles in Time. I have always enjoyed playing as any of the four ninja turtles whether it’s Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, or Michelangelo. The game is very replayable and has a neat art direction. I love how they added characters like Master Splinter and Usagi Yojimbo in this game.

I wonder if they made it easier to add more skins now, there are so many skins they could add like all red mask turtles, opening cutscene colors if they made it so you can just add more pallets that would be cool

Is this game largely dead now? I wasn't able to grab the DLC until a month after release due to shifting living conditions. Hardly anyone is on multiplayer mode here whether it's Survival, Arcade, or Story at any point I'm playing. Was able to play with one other player at some point only twice during the past week.

Most people tend to move on from multiplayer games rather quickly besides the biggest ones, much less a "smaller" game like this.

It's the same with the Cowabunga Collection, there's virtually nobody to play online in either Tournament Fighters or the other games. Maybe at best the original Arcade game.

Finally got my hands on a DLC and while I like Karai (if only she was more Mirage inspired as opposed to 2K3), I must say I would have preferred 3-4 new levels with few ne bosses, rather than just monotonous survival mode.

Its not bad, but its just boring.

I was hoping that Razhar and Tokka being random Mirage of Tempestra that they would be properly added into the plot of the game with a DLC.

At least they are separate real boss fights in survival mode.

Yeah, Cowabunga Collection dropped off player-wise a bit faster than Shredder's Revenge did ... but that's also cause there are SO MANY games to play lately too, haha.
