Hey guys. Recently got into MUGEN, and absolutely love it. Only problem is, I'm having a hard time finding some things TMNT related.
I've been looking for the Technodrome Portal Room stage from TMNT The Arcade Game for MUGEN, and I just can't find anyplace to download it. I hope someone here has it. Also, it looks like someone a few years back tried to make a whole TMNT game from MUGEN: http://mugenguild.com/forumx/index.php?topic=35022.0. Unfortunately it seems to have been abandoned. (Edit, apparently Ceno posted here as well: http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=14893) Here's a list of what I know is available for MUGEN: -- Characters - TMNT Tourney Fighters - TMNT4 Turtles In Time Don - TMNT4 Super Krang? (seen in YouTube videos, but can't find download) -- Stages - A bunch from http://membres.lycos.fr/enscripture/TMNTTFStages.html - TMNT4 Big Apple, Alleycat Blues If you know of more, please respond here. (PS: Cool Sprites Here: http://jsofts.com/tmntsprites/sprites.php) |
TMNT for MUGEN, what's all available?
Quote:
Is there a new version of MUGEN? I stopped playing it eons ago because the program had a tendency to screw the sound after a couple of rounds. Sadly I don't know of anymore characters, but if you are going to do a TMNT Mugen I would like to help. Maybe we could add characters from the sega and nes Tournament Fighters. I would have to read about that software again because I forgot everything I knew about it. About the technodrome level, maybe it would be better to add a background from the old toon. Maybe add rotation to the floor. Something like that. |
I could never figure out how to put the characters into the game, if anyone of you could tell me, then I might be able to play mugen.
|
there is a mugen version of tmnt tournament fighters
|
http://www.freewebs.com/dvmugen/stages.htm
If you go down to the bottom, he has 3 stages from TMNT4 http://www.freewebs.com/draculmugen/arcade.htm Has 2 stages from TMNT Arcade |
*sigh* No additional progress to speak of, and I still can't find anyone who has the Technodrome stage for MUGEN. :-(
|
Apparently that technodrome stage comes from the site "Mugen History" and because it's currently being reworked the page that had it is not accesible.
But with a little help from archive.org i got the direct link to it: http://www.mugenhistory.com/download...echnodrome.zip :D enjoy |
The creator JAM has several conversions of the SNES Tournament Fighters stages available for download at his website: http://jamugen.blog103.fc2.com/
Also, Mugen creator MackX has a pretty fantastic Neon Night Riders stage he released recently. I highly recommend you grab this one http://retrostage.trinitymugen.net/ As for characters, Casey Jones by Pioupiou (I think you have to extract him from the fullgame port to get him into your personal Mugen)- http://pioupioud.cjb.net/ Apparently a Raphael was created a couple years back by Franco[8a] using the SNES Turtles in Time sprites, but this seems to still be in progress and pretty unpolished as far as gameplay. Not recommended. There's a handful of Psycho Shredders that are floating out there, but these are incredibly broken uber cheap AI conversions. I might be able to pm him to you if I still have a copy in my files somewhere. I'll see if I can't find out more info later on EDIT: There's a pretty cool Leonardo that uses the sprites from the 4-player 1989 Arcade game here: http://sites.google.com/site/oldschoolmugen/Home And you can download Karai and Armaggon from Infinity Mugen Team, you just need to register first: http://www.infinitymugenteam.com/ Raphael & Donatello by Erradicator: http://www.presstart.cjb.net/ |

I'm working on a Michaelangelo character next, here's the Work in Progress video of his gameplay so far.

Those WIPs are great man! Have you given them super combos?
|
MUGEN creator SyN is working on a mini-game for MUGEN that recreates the Neon Night Riders Stage from TMNT 4 on the SNES. Check it out:
Chrome Dome by Pullo is available here: http://jamugen.blog103.fc2.com/blog-entry-256.html |

That Kangaroo Kick was sweet! |

This combo pattern is showcased here : Sorry for the poor framerate, it was the best I could manage. Comments and feedback as always are appreciated. And a special pre-fight intro between Raphael & Leonardo |
Lovin' the combos and the fact that Mikey's nunchaku make chain rustling sounds. The intro's completely aces as well. You, sir, have talent at this.
|
thanks its a lot of hard work. Hopefully they won't disappoint

I think it actually might be a little cleaner if you cut to Leo's retort after Raph says "you think the world revolves around you, don't you!" at about 0:06. |
Donatello by Dcat Power Released, Mikey + Raphael updated!!(1/30/2010)
Finally finished with Donatello.
-4 Specials -2 Ground Supers, 1 Air Super -3 Super cancels should be possible -the Body Slam throw now has a small mash feature, press punch buttons rapidly and he'll deliver the 2 successive blows more quickly and they'll deal more damage than not mashing. (I'm just testing this out in Donatello, if you guys prefer it I'll add it in the other turtles as well) Spoiler:
Please test & let me know what needs fixing, thanks! |

I agree with oldmanwinters in that the intro between Leo and Raph might be a little too long, well at least for the casual MUGEN fan. I doubt they'd appreciate the interaction between Leo and Raph like us diehard TMNT fans. Personally, I think it's bad-ass. |
Thanks R-iZZy, glad you're likin' what you see. Tells me I'm doing something right with these guys... Next up is Donatello, here's his moves thus far
I'm looking for some appropriate voice clips yo use for Donatello If anyone knows of any episodes from the classic or 2003 cartoon series in which he had a lot of lines or has some audio rips they're willing to offer it'd be a great help. |
I know for a fact that from the 2003 series, the episodes "The King" (S01E16) and "Same As It Never Was" (S03E21) were very much Donatello-centric. What generally are you looking for as voice clips for Don? I can surely help out for this one.
|
standard fighting game fare like some zippy one liners or battle related taunts & grunts and growls while he's swingin' his bo. Techno speak & some interactions with his brothers would be good too.
Thanks for the referrals, I appreciate it. I'm ripping audio this very moment. |
Hey, dcat, I take it these sprites are your handiwork! Any idea on who made the Mouser boss? It looks amazing!
|
actually I had no part in the creation of that amazing boss character.
Credit goes to a creator named N64mario He's moved on from MUGEN coding for the most part & is currently experimenting with the Mega Man engine to make a full-game using that. you can get the Boss Mouser and many other creations at his mugen site: http://gcnmario.free.fr/mugen.html I'm still working on Donatello guys. If you wanna contribute any resources that can further his progress don't hesitate to send me a pm |
These are awesome dcat! You have single handeledly got me interested in M.U.G.E.N. gaming again.
|
I downloaded MUGEN for the first time because of your characters. Really nice job, I've had a lot of fun with them so far.
(I had a bit of trouble finding a good program for use in XP, though... I've got the most recent Elecbyte version now, which seems to be working alright. I figured someone might know if this is the best version, though?) |
^ Get WinMUGEN. The original MUGEN is still nifty, but it's pretty archaic.
|
Thanks to all those who donated sound rips and the links to resources for Donatello. I really appreciate the help & each one of you gets a special credit in the readme file.
Also thanks for all of the first impressions guys, I've been working pretty much nonstop lately on finishing up Donatello in the hopes of a Christmas release (no guarantees, but I'll aim for before the end of the year if I can't make the December 25th deadline). I got a little restless and decided to record another preview/combo video of what I've done so far, have a look: |
You.
Are. Freaking. Awesome. |

Thanks folks. Sorry I couldn't deliver on Christmas deadline but I want this guy to be pretty damn near complete and as it stands he's only a tiny bit beneath that. I've finally finished all of the EX attacks and re-done the pole vault kick so it now serves as the OTG kick super. Its been a full two days of trial & error while I learned to properly use the targetstate sctrl for all the turtles I've made so far. A few more minor tweaks and refinement in the coding should finally fix a lot of the issues they have with fighting helper characters.
I still need to conceptualize an air super and finish the special intros with the turtle brothers. Any ideas for an air super? I need to get my creative juices flowing on this one, I've been at an impasse with this move it feels like forever. Any suggestions? |

Dude just....wow. Those are amazing looking. And yeah as a super special move you should have them summon the turtle van to run the opponent over.

All I know is that I know jack sh!t about mugen, but hope to figure it all out once this comes out. For instance, is it played with the keys or can I use my USB SNES controller like with emulators? Anyways, this looks nuts/better then any other mugen game I've seen made. Whats the song in your most recent video? I recognized everything else from the next mutation quote to the anime music but that one I didn't catch.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4azelIx50k but with more spinning. The air attack flurry actually sounds better though. Maybe some Mortal Kombat Armageddon-style air juggles followed by the Over Easy? |
