The title says it all.

What's your latest (Non-TMNT) toy purchase?

For mine, this guy came in the mail a few days ago.

If you insist.

Personally, I like to add mini-reviews/thoughts if I've had time to mess with them, regardless if I have pics.

Here's who's in the picture (Left to right, back row first)

Altitude - Like him more than I thought I would. The grampy old man face sells it. Plus, good reuse of parts. Just wish the hose on the mask plugged into something.

Hit & Run - This is the worst Joe I've gotten in a long time. Everything's reused from other figures and the parts used don't even work together (and some of them are crap to begin with). Plus, the duffel bag with retractable grappling hook isn't here.

Chuckles - They got the shirt right and that's about it (and some will say they didn't do that right either). The appeal of the original was the working shoulder holster. This one doesn't work and there's no excuse for it not to work. But I digress, I got him because the custom that represents my brother uses the original as a base. I was pleasantly surprised to see all the gear of the old custom fits.

Outback (Night Force) - Have the other Outback already. I normally hate sub-team repaints, but this one may be my favorite of the two. Plus, like Chuckles I've been using Outback's head as my own for a long time. Finally, upgrade time!

Wet-Suit - Not bad, but unless. I've never had much use for the niche Joes like Snow Job and Torpedo. Still, I've never owned this mold, so it ain't all bad.

Range Viper - Great reused parts, great new part, a grenade launcher, nice colors, and a mask that will give me nightmares. This guy is awesome!

Recondo - He has what is is known as "Duke arms" in the GI Joe fandom. The horror. Seriously though, it ain't that bad (for once). I do believe this is the first set of "fixed" Duke arms I've had, but I'm not sure if the upper arms are from the fixed duke arms or a different figure. If all fixed duke arms are like this, then I'm opening my Doc with the fixed arms.

Zap - I get sick of green in GI Joe real quick. I couldn't care less about the "first 13" because most of them look the same. This Zap, on the other hand, rocks. The new parts make him full of win. The bazooka is awesome and the missiles fit into the thing and can store on the backpack. The belt is really nice too. His head makes him look like he's from France (nothing wrong with that imo).

Night Creeper - Nothing like a ninja...from the desert? Not sure why, but I think desert ninja when I look at him. Think it's the hood. Odd colors and I don't like the arms, but overall a good figure. The vest and the crossbow make it worth it.

Alley Viper - I already had one, but if I haven't said it before, I love this figure. It's a huge shame this figure didn't get single carded. The only thing keeping this from being the best Joe figure ever made is the hook gun. It doesn't connect to the backpack even though it's meant to. Still very much worth buying.

Patraw 07-30-2009 09:20 AM

Gorilla Alien (loose) from the old Kenner Aliens line. I had that one when I was younger, but sold it to my younger brother, so, when I saw it for cheap, I snagged it up. Didn't get the facehugger with it, but that's okay--and I still had the little Dark Horse mini-comic in my toy booklet box.

I really like the Kenner Aliens and Predators figures. I bought a few of them on ebay in 2007. I also have the Gorilla Alien, he's cool. My favorite is the Queen Alien with the tounge-jaw attack when the back of the head is squeezed.

Samhain 08-07-2009 07:43 PM

I hope to get a Hot Toys BR Joker eventually. Nice pics everyone!

IamtheKnight 08-07-2009 08:40 PM

I'm still searching for a rotf voyager grindor.... went to target and walmart didnt have it....

Yeah, they were pretty cool--one of my friends has all of them, including the transparent mail-away Predator. I also had that Alien Queen, she was awesome.

Candy Kappa 08-10-2009 02:26 PM

got my hands on the Marvel Toy Biz X-men Legends Box.
it contains, Magneto, Rogue, gambit, Beast and unmasked Wolverine

I finally got my hands on not one, but two black-haired Majin Vegeta figures. Both were carded... I opened the less neat looking one (which still wasn't terrible). Together, including shipping, they cost about $60... which is better than it could have....

http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3453/...2a1104cc44.jpg
Also scored these amazingly terrible DBZ bootlegs. These were relatively cheap, and I got them actually for a sole reason...

To add some variety to my collection.

Patraw 08-14-2009 08:18 AM

That's a lot of BALLZ!!!

Hordak 08-18-2009 11:02 PM

I got the MOTUC Tri-Klops!

Patraw 08-21-2009 08:43 AM

Here's all my recent acquisitions, including the previously mentioned Gorilla Alien. I also got two unopened TMNT mini mutants figure packs, but, as that's not what this thread is for, they're not shown.

Patraw 08-26-2009 08:22 AM

Some loose dragon. It looks like it is missing wings and/or saddle on the back where the four holes are. Anybody know what it's from? My guess would be Megabloks.

IamtheKnight 08-29-2009 07:01 PM

I just got the ice cream twins and i finally got grindor!

Raph's Girl 08-30-2009 08:48 PM

I got me a Spock figure called a Quog. It's done by Funko. It's not a bobblehead (I wish it was) but it's way kewl.

Here's a piccie of the 3 available Quog (I totally wanna find the Orion one. Only seen Spock and Kirk so far...at Target of all places! )

Power Rangers RPM Moto-Morph Blue Ranger

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...tap/pr_rpm.jpg

Wes 09-14-2009 02:24 PM

Hey Patraw, how is that Moto-Morph figure? I've passed on them because they seem underarticulated and kinda crappy (not to mention overpriced), but I wouldn't mind having one if they're halfway decent (I generally like to complete my teams by having one figure from each different assortment).

And how tall is that Exodia? That figure looks wicked cool. :)

Patraw 09-16-2009 11:15 AM

The Power Ranger is so-so. It doesn't have much articulation, and what it does have isn't very useful. What you see in the pics is basically what you get, movement-wise. The sculpt is pretty nice though. The gun doesn't fire, although it looks like it would. I got him for free, so I can't complain, but I don't think I'd pay retail for him, unless you're a big fan of that particular incarnation of the Blue Ranger.

Exodia is pretty big--I'm not at home right now, so I can't measure him, but I'd say he's around 7-8 inches tall, and bulky.

Picked up this lil' kitty for cheap at a Fred Meyer. The scale is off compared to the Turtles figures, but I'm using him as Klunk.

Samhain 10-03-2009 09:28 AM

Just picked up Mp- Skywarp. Expensive but these things are great.

Patraw 10-06-2009 08:34 AM

Here's another one I used to have when I was a kid that I've recently reacquired: Magnokor from Inhumanoids (either my younger brother, or myself, sold ours to a local antique store many years ago, along with a crapload of other toys, mainly vintage Star Wars). He's missing the front, hollow half of his body, that snaps over the fiery lava form, to make a complete rock creature, but, seeing as how I never liked that part of the toy much anyway (it was just an unarticulated shell after all), it's no huge loss. The hips joints are on the loose side, but the paint is in pretty good condition. My brother and I used to have the two tree dudes too, both the orange and grey ones. Never had any of the other Inhumanoids figures unfortunately--I would have liked to have had Tendril and D'compose in particular.

Toonami Tom 10-07-2009 12:08 PM

Earlier this week I bought a cool 6" Batman action figure. He's from DC Direct's Superman/Batman series 7.

This website has pictures of the figure:

Patraw 10-19-2009 08:18 AM

Here's some more recent acquisitions:

Terminator Salvation T-600 (I got this on the secondary market, so I'm missing the extra, swappable endoskeleton head and trading card):

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...artap/t600.jpg

Transformers ROTF Skids [I'm not sure if I've got the transformation 100% correct--mine came packed with the wrong instructions (Mudflap's), so I had to wing it using only the two photos on the cardback as a guide].

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...rtap/skids.jpg

Review I did with more photos/information.

Transformers ROTF Robot Heroes Bumblebee & Long Haul

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...bumblehaul.jpg

You should go to Michaels. They have orange tabbies. I have one that stands next to my 2007 Burger King (or was it Mcdonalds?) Michelangelo. :D

Patraw 10-27-2009 09:18 AM

Here's some more stuff I received Saturday night--some of the figures are missing accessories, but I got the whole shebang as a gift, so I can't complain.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19.../mikeyhaul.jpg

Transformers ROTF Deluxe Class: Bumblebee (missing his missile):

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...beecollage.jpg

Transformers ROTF Scout Class: Ransack:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...ackcollage.jpg

Transformers ROTF Fast Action Battlers: Double Blade Optimus Prime:

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...imecollage.jpg

Transformers Crossovers: Spider-Man (missing one of his two missiles and a small section of the bike's windshield):

Powder 10-31-2009 10:47 PM

Even though to some far reaching extent it is still TMNT, I got the usagi yojimbo figure. It rules.

jwiz154 11-01-2009 07:38 AM

Just got the new JLU Super Friends 3pack! And the Blackhawk pack and the Amanda/General pack. So far all great figures but I'm still on the lookout for the Batman Beyond set.
