Thats quite a long list :D

I only have a handful I've ever gotten into, but if I had to pick one, it would be My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, no doubt about it.

So many things to like about the show, from its colourful and cute 2D animation (something all the more desirable in todays age of 3D cartoons), an extremely expansive list of characters with their own little interesting quirks, interesting lore, great songs, voice talent etc.

It had an impressive run of 222 episodes which I have not managed to fully stomach (only managed to watch about 40% of the show, as well as the movies), but I absolutely intend to watch it fully because its such a well made and fun show.

Thundercats(2011)
Gravity Falls
MLP:FiM
Young Justice
Green Lantern
Legend of Korra
Disenchantment
TMNT(2012)
Miraculous Ladybug
Scooby Doo Mystery Inc.
Ducktales(2017)

TMNT
Adventure Tiime
Rick & Morty
Castlevania, if you're counting it

Could list a ton of anime as well but that's probably another thread. I don't watch much modern western animation.

Icebot 11-07-2019 07:13 AM

My favorite is The Legend of Korra.

I also like Fairly Oddparents as it continued well into the 2010’s and Beavis and Butthead from 2011.

Also like TMNT 2012.

I started watching cartoons again due to my children, most I just watch with them, with the exception of TMNT 2012 which I adopted as one of my shows too. That right there would be favourite.

Of other toons I have been happy to sit and watch or been interested to see what happens next ...

Gravity falls - Just picked up recently (not followed as much as the others on the list).
Knights of the Zodiac
Where in the world is Carmen Sandiego
Scooby Doo Mystery Inc

Original TMNT Cartoon Fan 11-07-2019 07:30 AM

Nickelodeon TMNT is the only 2010's cartoon I've seen all episodes of.

CyberCubed 11-07-2019 07:49 AM

The 2010’s were a low point for cartoons and animation in general, this is when Cartoon Network went to hell and most shows had the same god awful flash animation look. DC animation went to crap besides Young Justice and everything went comedy.

However we had some good shows elsewhere:

TMNT 2012 (of course)
Young Justice
Justice League Action
Avengers: EMH
Legend of Korra
Star Wars Clone Wars and Rebels has great eps in this era

ZariusTwo 11-07-2019 08:36 AM

1. Phineas and Ferb
2. Scooby Doo: Mystery Inc
3. Rick and Morty
4. Star vs The Forces of Evil
5. Danger Mouse

Honourable mention: Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie

Rick and Morty.

Castlevania.

Didn't watch any other cartoons.

Prowler 11-07-2019 09:53 AM

Haven't really watched any American cartoons this decade. Archer is pretty good, though.

IMJ 11-07-2019 10:54 AM

Archer got me through a few crazy all nighters a few years back. That was cool. I don't watch it now, though.

I'm sort of an Iron Man die-hard, so you'd imagine that I'd love both of the Avengers cartoons - especially the man-of-action stuff for it's high quality. They are great, but I just can't sit through them very often.

TMNT 2012 was probably the only regular-release animated show I followed. I think it helped that the show made me laugh out loud once in a while (i.e., Leatherhead always pulling Don's face was a riot).

I loved Thundercats 2011. I feel as screwed over by that cancellation as I ever have with any series that got cut short and resolved nothing. It was a great show. I was also in my early 30's and life was very different back then, so maybe I'd have a different opinion now. I would love a Thundercats 2011 animated movie, if for no other reason than to complete the original show. But instead we got Flashimationcats. I never watched a single episode of that one... I don't even know what's become of it.

The DC Animated movies are almost always great.

Oh right, 2010s... I guess that would include TMNT 2012. Watched the first two seasons and a half with my daughter until she sort of lost interest. Haven't really watched any others.

As a whole it's worth getting through. The problem for me is that the serialized nature of the show makes the whole thing, in hindsight, feel short.

I also come from the generation where a successful cartoon series had hundreds of episodes, so there's that I guess. But TMNT 2012 was a legit, legit blending of the FW series and the more serious 2000's series.

This is as opposed to the ROTTMNT, which is a blend of TMNT, yuppie-animation for 3 year olds and a blender full of crap.

That last sentence was unnecessary, I suppose.

Sonic Boom
Ducktales 2017

Can’t think of any others. I don’t watch much new cartoons.

Liked some episodes here and there of TMNT 2012, but never really got into it.

Loved most of EMH, but didn’t care much for the last bunch of eps.

The Zig and Zag cartoon featuring the same characters from The Den looked interesting, but I’ve only seen a few eps.

ABrown 11-07-2019 02:52 PM

This decade has had FAR less cartoons that I've loved compared to the two decades that preceded it. Transformers Prime has got to be, without question, my favorite cartoon of the decade.

Other cartoons from this decade that I've enjoyed are Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, Phineas & Ferb, Nickelodeon's Alvin & the Chipmunks, and 2015's Transformers Robots in Disguise. I think that's about it.

Vicky82 11-07-2019 02:52 PM

TMNT (2012 and 2018 )
Thunderbirds Are Go
Ducktales
She Ra
Young Justice
Voltron
Trollhunters/3 Below
Carmen Sandiego

Yeah, I agree. (Although I know you didn't like TMNT 2012, I loved it)

But the 2010 decade in general is probably the worst decade for cartoons since uh...I guess the 70's? Far less shows that are memorable, way too much focus on comedy shows, less action, animation looks cheaper and more like flash animation than ever before, etc.

There were a few gems here and there, but overall this was probably the low point of western animation.

If I had the kind of viewing time, or inclination to watch, I'd be interested in this purely on the goodwill of the amazing cartoon from when I was a kid.

But as great as the original Ducktales was, it's another show that I watched a bit of a few years ago and couldn't get through them.

I've got a lot of rosy-colored lens' from the past like this.

I find it difficult to get offended or irritated at a show that in no way pretends to be remotely "for" me, or anyone above the age of 3.
