holy smokes, is that really worth that much? I feel like I got my copy for like $10, but that was probably close to 20 years ago.

I am also sure that I got my copy for $10, and I'm pretty sure these were bootleg DVDs in the first place.

hi! how can you tell if it's a bootleg? is there anything that distinguishes them from the originals?

AFAIK there was no official DVD release. And if there was, there wouldn't be a subtitles option. There was an official VHS release (no subtitles), which was used to create the fansub version, which was put on DVD.

But whoever made the DVDs did a very nice job on them.

Heh, a couple years ago, I bought one on ebay after a 99 cent bid because nobody else bid on it! It's definitely a weird item, as it is a high-quality bootleg that few people tend to actively seek out, but it's also rare when one is available for sale.

Just for fun, here's an image of my old official VHS copy. I got it from a Steve Murphy Ebay auction years ago:

I still waiting for the item. It's been stucked for more than a month...
The seller is being very communicative but I wanted to leave the annotation here in case it may be necessary in the future.

Oh no, how frustrating.

FWIW, I had an item get stuck back in July/August. At the one month mark I issued a refund, and then the darn thing showed back up in the system about a week later. Thankfully, the buyer was honest and re-paid for the item.

I hope it shows up soon!

I ordered Bebop/Rocksteady Neca 2 pack July 16th off of EBay from Beijing, China. It stated it would arrive on October 1st. So I waited until then, but unlike you China does not track international items. It arrived on October 28th. I was told by the seller that covid was slowing down international packages from the estimated arrival and that packages could be stuck waiting to be shipped out the country and get delayed waiting to leave the country of origin. That is what caused a 27 day delay further than the six weeks it had slated.
