Poll of the Day (10/17/21): Pepsi or Coke

Both are good, but the cherry flavor of both Pepsi and Coke are superior to the original.

IndigoErth 10-17-2021 03:51 PM

Bleh, neither. I prefer sodas that are more clear, with Ginger Ale (of various brands) being the top pick.

edit: Have a cherry Coke Energy that I got free from the grocery store "Monopoly" sweepstakes game this past spring and have yet to open it...

ABrown 10-17-2021 04:24 PM

Definitely Pepsi. But I will drink Coke.

IMJ 10-17-2021 04:28 PM

I'll take the carmely flavor of Coke over that sort of neutral Pepsi flavor anyday.

But I will also say that Pepsi doesn't weigh you down as badly as Coke does after you've had a few......

triplexxx 10-17-2021 05:24 PM

Both are very fine, the cherry flavors of which are brilliant of course. Dr. Pepper and its variants though have the most flavor out of anything.

sdp 10-17-2021 05:32 PM

people drink soda unironically in 2021?

MsMarvelDuckie 10-17-2021 05:48 PM

Neither, I prefer Dr Pepper. RC cola on occasion, but Coke over Pepsi if I have to go with one or the other. But I would take a root beer over both.

FredWolfLeonardo 10-17-2021 06:07 PM

I prefer Pepsi because its cheaper where I live, sweeter taste and Pepsi has one of the funniest mascots who got his own ps1 game:

TigerClaw 10-17-2021 07:08 PM

I drink a lot of Coke Zero.

newfan 10-17-2021 11:47 PM

Coke, Diet Coke more specifically. I used to drink a lot of it when I was young but only have it on occasion now.

Deadman, I also like the cherry flavour.

DarkFell 10-18-2021 04:58 AM

I'm going with the Coke. I still miss Coke & Coffee - those hybrid drinks helped me get through my work shifts .. right up until I couldn't find them anymore. Oh well.

Crystal Pepsi Clear is alright. I actually got my hands on a bottle about a year ago, probably because the dollar store had some in the backroom.

Pepsi Cola reminds me of Michael Jackson's advertising campaigns.

Prowler 10-23-2021 04:14 AM

I have always preferred Coca-Cola. Pepsi has always seemed sweeter to the point of being nauseating. Coca-Cola is already sweet enough. I don't need a sweeter version of it.

Honestly, maybe this depends in the country, but I've always felt like there's 3 times as much Coca-Cola out there than Pepsi. I don't remember ever asking for Coca-Cola at a cafe or restaurant and getting told there's only Pepsi. But with 7Up that happened constantly. Sprite seemed to be way more common. And no, Sprite and 7Up DO NOT taste the same.

Anyway I haven't drunk soda in 6 years. And I mean that 100%. I completely stopped drinking it. My teeth have been thankful. You know what? I don't miss drinking soda.

These are basically my thoughts.

I like to drink cream soda as well.

ProphetofGanja 10-26-2021 04:46 PM

Vanilla Coke ftw!

AquaParade 10-26-2021 04:54 PM

Neither.
I eat too much other crap/processed foods. This is one area where I can resist easily enough, despite liking Dr. Pepper.

ProphetofGanja 10-27-2021 12:26 PM

I only get Dr. Pepper when I'm eating fried chicken, which I actually don't do much anymore. Been eating mostly vegetarian.

I pretty much only drink Coke at the movies anymore

lonewarrior20 10-28-2021 03:25 PM

Rc with a little bit of grenadine since I can't find cherry Rc any where.

Andrew NDB 10-28-2021 03:55 PM

Fun fact: I just realized they make "Big Red Zero." I used to love Big Red (classic) but that was WAY too much sugar.

I have a 24 pack on the way right now.

oldmanwinters 10-28-2021 06:03 PM

"Is Pepsi okay?"

YES. In fact it makes me more likely to buy a soft drink from your restaurant as opposed to just water with lemon.
