I started a new comic "Weird World" Rise/2012 crossover
 

Well a few months ago I did this picture.

Which is Rise Donnie and April being freaked out after having ended up in the 2012 dimension.

Today I started working on that idea in ernest, having seen enough episodes of the Rise series to familiarize myself with the series enough , not to make the characters behave out of character.

First rule of convincing somebody that they shouldn't give up: Hit them in the feels.

And inciting Husband and wife banter is always a good way to create a distraction.

Well, as was pointed out by the Rise Turtles themselves, they never go against somebody who they can actually lose a battle to. Of course with April being there during all of that, she was the first to notice that.

The Purple Dragons never got a break in the series, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that they tend to get frustrated which leads to them making mistakes and generally making things worse for themselves.

But give a monkey some poo and...

Throughout the 2012 series' duration, Karai has shown incredible feats of toughness, being thrown several stories to the asphalt by Leonardo in "Follow the leader", getting hit in the back of the head by April's razor sharp fan in "Target April O'Neil", her mutation and brainwashing during season three, almost burned alive during the "Super Shredder" arc, to being battered by Tatsu and Kavaxxas, the girl sure took a beating and always turned the other cheek.

Hopefully Rise Donnie and April will be the ones to save Karai before Hun can slice through her.

Ooh this one took a long time, I was slaving all day to get it right, I'm pleased with how Leo and Karai turned out in the big panel but less pleased with how Raph turned out in the same panel.
