Casey doesn't have those issues because he doesn't know any of those things, so he's able to just swoop in and April can't hold that against him. Donnie on the other hand knows all of that stuff and is responsible for almost all that stuff, including breaking the news she's not human.
That's just been my mindset on this and why I get why this is done this way, because if April is down and upset about all this. If Donnie did tell her, he a way, he is taking advantage of a terrible situation, which you and I know he would never want to do.

but he's been creepy waaaay before this season.
If Donnie was just a little more subtle like in 2003 maybe shy...and dorky
then I wouldn't mind Apriltello that much.
but it just looks like Donnie is taking any opportunity he can get
and it looks like April is just leading him on.
and that doesn't seem right to me.
April and Casey seem like they are just being themselves around each other and I think that's more appealing.
