Well.... that was an experience. A little better than last week personally, but I didn't like it. I thought stupidity was bad last week, but now I'm dumbfounded at it here, especially for the introduction of Mona.
This just proves to me one thing: this show can't formulate love relationships at all. I could laugh at Leo, be somewhat intrigued by Don, and get irritated by Mikey, but this was a slap in the face for Raph. At least in comparison to Mikey or Donnie with love at first sight, Raph is intrigued by Mona Lisa, a plus I guess? However, that doesn't qualify the stupidity of Raph for why he wants this.... alien reptile to be his girl. Not only out of character plus the teasing (why didn't Mikey get teased with Renet?), I find it shameless. It's the only focal point to introduce everyone to the new Mona and reestablish her romance with the hothead.
Now with the plot, not as idiotic with survival of the fittest, but why is there a Triceraton weapon on Thalos? Unless they wanted to bomb the place to smithereens, it just feels out of place for these monsters. In addition to that, the ice dragons in comparison to last week's aliens were poor, no creativity or interesting designs. Why do they exist is my question, as random servants for the Triceratons or merely an obstacle at pure random?
A personal gripe too, but why no Newtrailzer? I get Danny Trejo is old in the industry, but I would have been interested because of the tribe. Add in Sal and Mona possibly not returning until later and the chance of one of the most intriguing villains begins to dwindle. It's impressing how far it has to go.
My faith has slowly vanished for the show; if you like the episode more power to you. I don't care for the episode, and the nail on Raph continues once more.
Well, time to get sugar high from Halloween candy to ease myself.
