So in fact Karai should be pronouced "Ka-la-e" or something simliar....
Kind of like how on Inu Yasha Kirara is pronouced "Ki-la-la"

Yep, "R" = "L", and "I" = "E". Except the R is just muffled a squished a bit so it sounds more like an l. it's hard to explain unless you hear a native speaker do it >_>.
