Whenever someone gives me flak in the toy aisle, I just mumble something about being a collector. Then they as if I keep them in the packages. Hell, no! How am I supposed to play with them that way?
On a side note, about five years ago I was in a Kaybee toy store when I saw some old TMNT toys in a clearance bin. I was digging through to find the whole set of whatever I was looking for and ended up asking a clerk to help me find the Rapheal from the set. We went back into the shelves to look for it and there were these two kids, about eight or nine, standing in front of where the clerk wanted to look. He said: 'Excuse me, boys, we're looking for Rapheal.' They both gave him a blank look and said: 'Who's Raphael?' I was like: 'What do you mean; who's Rapheal?!'
I'm too young to have a generation gap like that! Next they're going to say they don't remember ThunderCats or CareBears or--or-- New Coke. *pant* *pant*
And then this one time, at band camp . . . .
