Also, wouldn't that mean the the Archie books are multiple universes based on that logic as well? I'm not sure how many... but I'd say at least 3 based on the small collection I had.
I'd love for TMNT 2 and 3 to be part of some seperate universe just because TMNT 1 kicks so much ass that it could easily be a standalone movie. Of course, I think the same things about the old and new Star Wars movies and the Matrix trilogy. It's all wishful thinking.

I knew someone was going to bring up the old cartoon series (I was actually going to pre-emptively argue it but decided not to). For the record to a certain extent I do feel that they are seperate universes. Particularly the Red Sky episodes.
Many feel, and it was even listed here, that Fast Forward as a spin-off to 2K3 (and I agree it is). If Fast Forward is a spin-off than surely Red Sky is as well? Claiming those two garbage film sequels were in the same universe as the first one is offensive to the comic film majesty that is the first film.
IMHO the first film is a TMNT universe of its own, waiting for a true sequel to add to it. That's my hope for the upcoming film. Provide a quality sequel to a quality original film and erase the stupidity that was the second two films from the official continuity.
