I agree that the Bugman episode didn't impress me as much as it had when I was a youngster. But that is only because I found Michaelangelo just a little
too over enthusiastic in this episode. The plot it self (although really cliche) didn't bother me so much because it was interesting in its own right. And I don't know I rather liked seeing Michaelangelo getting taken to task for slacking off in his training to read comic books with Splinter getting all pissy and annoyed with him when he disrespected him, and delivered his infamous "Rat-faced dude guy" line. LOL
But what the hell was the deal with the psudo-rap song the turtles where singing at the episodes start?
Plus I thought Bug man transformation was pretty graphic looking which I liked. April was certainly a shallow bitch in this episode. First she is crushing on the guy then she is repulsed by him because he is part bug
yeah...Michaelangelo was being mildly hostile toward the woman, and she didn't really do a whole lot provoke it eighther
. But persoanly I liked seeing Michaelangelo getting a little rude and angry with the woman, since its not normally how he usaully acts toward people. Its just that this episode is unique because Mike is interacting with another person who has views that are very difftent than his (about the animals) and he gets annoyed and frustrated with her brush off attitude. Which I thought was astonishing since normally Michaelangelo seems to have alot more tolerance for people than that. I guess it just went to show how strongly he felt about the subject.
In my post up above i speculated that maybe Michaelangelo acts annoyed by the doctor womans attitude concerning animals because it was some what similar to how others brush him off (subconsciencely). But maybe his annoyance wasn't linked to that at all. I don't know maybe he was just genuanly annoyed at how humans disregard other forms of life that aren;t similar to them as inferior, and the Doctors manner just rubed him the wrong way, since he thought she should know better being an animal doctor. Or maybe Michaelangelo was just pissy in general because he was stressed out about having to find the turtles all him self. In eighther case I loved the banter between them.
