Holy crap... How have I never thought of this, or seen anyone else bring it up, before?
I guess everyone just assumed Hob and the Mutanimals would be fighting against the invaders, but an alliance with the Triceratons actually suits Hob's plans perfectly! Not only is he currently outnumbered for his supposed war against humans, but the Triceratons themselves are actually mutated Earth animals! Exactly the very beings whose defense and protection Hob advocates! Oooh... I can already tell this is going to be one dang exciting arc if this is true!
