The big thing I can think of with Krang is that he looks a little too much like a head of calliflower. His bumps are too well defined and it looks like the purple veins are the dividing seems between each little poof. Try to scale back on the veins and hopefully that will de-emphasize the calliflower look:
Also, regarding April, everything looks spot-on, just make sure you change the "purple" lips.
