"Ah Ahh Ahhh Ah Ahhhh" and "I think it's from the 70s, but im not sure" are not very good clues. The fact that you heard it on the news is better but I'm not familiar with said news program.
What genre? What instruments were used? Was the vocalist male or female? High pitch or low pitch? Could you determine certain notes?
