At this point, anything could happen.
I can see an eventuality of Ch'rell getting into a fight with Leatherhead, which ultimately results in Leatherhead losing an eye like in Mirage.
That being said, it's a little ironic that with all the re-tellings of Leatherhead being chased by a mutant hunter...now HE'S the mutant hunter.
