FINALLY, after a lifetime of wanting and waiting, I got Blade from the vintage line the other day!
When I was a kid and the movie figures came out at the very end of the MOTU craze, Saurod was a constant peg-warmer but Blade and Gwildor were really hard to find; Blade in particular was practically IMPOSSIBLE. I mean NONE of my friends who collected MOTU had Blade, and I've never even come across him at a flea market or anything.
I paid more than I wanted to - less than $80 is impossible and around $125 is fairly common; I paid in the middle - but it's good to just be able to FINALLY say I have it, since he was always one of my very favorite characters. He's also in GREAT shape, which is a nice bonus.
Pretty much all that's left for me to collect from the vintage line are the over-$100 figures.
But that can be a "lifelong journey"; I have most of the figures I actually wanted most, give or take two or three, so I can pick up the others here and there and not sweat it too much. This was like the last MUST-Buy character, for me.
