Hopefully the arrest over it will be a reminder to him. And if he has a failing memory and can't remember to make safe choices, then maybe it's time to turn in the license. But driving drunk can and does kill a ton of people every year but no one ever seriously blames the vehicle or the booze, just the idiot behind the wheel... which should go the same for everything else people misuse in this life...
