There are lots of other super people of various races. There is Kong Kenan for example, if they want to do a Chinese superman. So they have lots of options. Probably black though because that's often how these things pan out.
Personally I feel Asian and Latino representation is lacking while black representation is very strong in modern super hero cinema. So yes, I would love to see them do Kong Kenan instead, for example.
