It was the early 2000s; you had to be there. I can still close my eyes and envision the flip phones, frosted tips, and news clips of Bush 43.

I personally grew up on this show and it was my gateway drug to the Mirage comics. Also, I never watched the 1990 film until I was a teenager.

It's interesting to read how your ideas of the TMNT have developed over the last few decades.
