My advice would be to find someone to talk to about it whether that be a therapist or a loved one. Talking usually helps when it comes to this stuff. I don't believe in giving drugs to help cure depression because, more often than not, the drugs have side effects and other things that are a pain and would probably prolong depression rather than cure it. Therapy would be the best way to help if it's a severe depression. If it's mild, I'd say do something to keep you busy so you don't think about it.
