College Football Title Game

The BCS bowls were announced yesterday and the national title game will be Ohio State vs Florida. I've been hearing discussion and debate all over ESPN and I was wondering what you guys think.

Me? I wanted USC to win on Saturday.

the BCS is a joke. College football chooses it's "champion" in the most messed up way possible.

They need to work out a playoff system. That is the only way people will not debate forever about who deserves to be in the champinship and who the computers actually put there.

The computers didn't put Florida in the Championship game. The computers actually rated Michigan and Florida exactly the same (.940). The voter polls that are used in connection w/ the computers to determine the BCS matchups were the ones that put Florida in the game.

yeah, I know. I meant that as a general statement, not one connected to this specific year.

I barely watch college football anymore....heck I barely watch Pro lately....I just remember being a youger Katie and my dad trying to explain the BCS all to me. I found it to be really pretty stupid.

Yea BCS is so dumb. I still don't understand why they can't do playoffs.

I was hoping that USC would have won on Saturday. My team defeated USC this year....*waves an Oregon State flag*<----Leave it to the Beavers to end USC's winning streak.

I hear ya. Plus, if they follow a March Madness-style playoff format, it would make things much more interesting. Remember George Mason at the the Final Four last season? Throw the BCS in a garbage can and light it on fire. They need a playoff system badly...
