The new figures look good, but it is a real shame that Playmates is continuing with the limited articulation. The Foot Tech ninjas barely looks movable. The legs appear to just be a V cut hips and no other leg articulation.

I agree with you 100%. However, since it's possible that these are only display prototypes, all hope is not yet lost. The amount of articulation could change by the time that they're actually produced and released. (I sure as hell hope so, anyway.)

Articulation aside, the new figs look awesome. Especially Shredder's Elite!

What's this about a robo baxtor? I saw the pic, but it doesn't look like anything I have ever seen. Maybe it's a new friend to the turtles, like fugitoid?

It's most likely not Fugitoid. Since the figures are based on the cartoon, and the cartoon is based on the original comic books, I'm wagering that the character designs for Fugitoid will most likely be more faithful to his appearance in the comic books.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that any future appearances of Fugitoid in the new show have officially been confirmed as of yet. A lot of us are hoping that he WILL show up, and it's likely that he will.

I think it's probably Baxter Stockman in his robot body, since he'll be turning up in the cartoon in the near future.

I just noticed something. The "mysterious robot" appears to be wearing a bandana.

Right, I noticed that too. If it's not Baxter, do you think it could possibly be a purely-robotic type of Foot Soldier? Heck if I know . . . my money's still on Baxter, but I could be wrong. (Wouldn't be the first time.) I guess we'll find out soon enough.

I still think it's Baxter but if not, it's definately a new kind of foot soldier.

The Elite Guard and the Tech Ninja look cool. I will definitely have to pick those up. It doesn't look like they have the ball-jointed (or whatever it's called) arms or legs, though.

Aagh, the legg and arm behind the Elite Foot tricked me. At first glance, I thought "MONDO GECKO!?", but then I realized it was just Skater Raph.

The robot has to be either Baxter or a new character. We've already seen a glimpse of the Utrom's bodies, and they look very much like in the comics.

Casey's bike looks cool. The Turtle-Humvee, though, I can likely pass on.

I'm worried about the "Battle Damage" figures. If these pictures are any indication, we're gonna be treated to... the original figures with X's and lines drawn on them with magic marker!? Ruh-roh...

One thing you can't tell about that Shredder figure...it has a removable helmet:

Also, if you look on the far left, you can see one of the Armor Turtles...he's wearing a football helmet and pillows! Excellent job, Playmates!

Our SDCC reporter has promised me he'll take a ton of TMNT pics today, so expect better pics of the new figures tonight / early tomorrow.

sweet, a shredder w/ removable helmet!!!! kick ass. that one in the far left with the armor looks more goofy that the extreme sport turtles. I thought when they said armor i thought of it as like metal junk, but that crap is too colorful! did you guys see the mini toys??
are they making those????

And wrong I may very well be. The mystery guy's from the video game?!? Now that's an option that never entered my feeble mind!

Whoever he is, he's definitely on my “get list” . . . along with Oroku Saki, Foot Tech Ninja and Shredder's Elite. I'm not sure about those armored Turtles though . . . they look kinda goofy to me. I guess it'll depend on how “super-articulated” they really are.

I'm getting them no matter how goofy they are. That's the beauty of being a completist.

I was wondering that too, but if it's a new type of Foot Soldier, wouldn't it have the foot logo "stamped" on it someplace?
