Man, I loved Mass Effect. What a great experience that game was.

Now, of course I'm no stranger to EA doing these things. They shut down literally every game series I loved after these small indie companies sold out to them and in short order. Origin, Westwood Studios, Maxim, etc., they all took the nice handout only for EA to absorb them and bury them completely when the first game of each series came out that didn't meet their expectations. And then sitting on them further to make sure nobody else could buy the IP out from under them. All of this before the year 2000, even.
But this... c'mon. Dragon Age: The Veilguard. As much as that cost to make and looking at that Bioware team (go ahead, look at a recent group photo)... it's no the same Bioware that was around 15-20 years ago. Packed to the brim with DEI, racial and LGBTQ equity stuff. Nobody wanted it. Everybody rebelled against it. And it lost millions of dollars. |

The only Bioware games I ever played from start to finish were the Mass Effect games. And those had a very diverse cast of characters and you could have a homosexual relationship if you wanted to. It's not like "woke" themes were something new for Bioware.

It’s sad what they became, not that they were shut down 15 years later.
