Leo: We can get ourselves drinks, Kya. You don't have to wait on us. Sit down. * he gets up and ushers her to the table.* I still want to know what happened to you.

Sp: Indeed.

<kya opens her mouth to protest, but Leo has her seated before she finds the words. She stares at the table, then begins to serve out portions and pass them round the table>

Kya:... Let's not spoil dinner, huh? ... I worked hard on it, and I wanna see you enjoy it.

<She smiles, hoping they let it pass>

*Mike's face fell* But LEO! I'm hungry. *he looks at Splinter hoping for an overruling, but Splinter shakes his head*

(she serves him up a healthy portion.)
Kya: where are Machias and Kali?

(She serves herself last... tiny portions.)

R: Quit changin' the frickin' subject!!!
M: Machias is on her way. And dudette, aren't you hungry?
Kya: <smiling slightly> no not really...
D: <grinning as he scoops quiche into his mouth> you know what they say about skinny chefs...

L: (sternly) KYA! Please just answer the question!!
Kya: (quietly) what're you gonna do? Beat it out of me?
(in the silence around the table, kya immediately regretted her words)
kya: sorry... I just don't wanna talk about it in front of everybody or at all really. It was a mistake to come here. I'm sorry. ((SHe moves to leave))

Kya: <firmly> I won't slow you down. I remember Kali, she's that sweet demon-girl who won the paint-ball game. And if raphael and Leo are worried, then she must need help. My friends' loved ones will not find me sitting on my thumbs if they need help.
