Hello...
So. Not sure why you'd be interested in reading this, but here goes:
I'm 19. When I was 4 or so, I discovered TMNT. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that, along with Ghostbusters and Nintendo, Ninja Turtles WAS my life. I nearly had a spasm when I first heard about the movie. I had all the video games. I had piles and piles of action figures. I read TMNT Adventures like it was going out of style. Anyway, the action figures are sold ( Until recently. About a week ago, I got curious. Really curious. Was the cartoon as good as I remembered it? So I went to the local mom and pop video store, where they still have all the TMNT videos. I rented the first two, popped them in, and relived my childhood. I was not disappointed. The show was good. REALLY good. Far better than it had any right to be, really. Same goes for the first movie...it could have been a quick cash-in, but it's obvious the writers made a serious effort to make a good, memorable movie. So here I am. Ever since I started watching the show, I caught the same bug I was infested with as a kid. I just ordered a ton of old Adventures comics, as well as the first Mirage TPB (the one with the first 11 issues + the four one-shots). I'd love to collect the old action figures again. Anyway...what I'd really like to know is... 1) I see a lot of talk about having episodes downloaded, or on VCD. I know you can't discuss this on the forums, but if anyone wants to e-mail me with info on where to obtain the old series (aside from downloading, since I'm on 56k) I'd be very grateful. 2) The comics are a whole new monster for me. I'd never read the Mirage comics before, but now I'm really interested in collecting it. But there are a lot of the things. The official site does an admirable job of cataloguing the various runs, but I'm still looking for a comprehensive list of the various short stories. Some sort of timeline would be nice too. Sorry this was so long, but I just thought I'd get that off my chest.
