Tales of the TMNT: The Mirage Years Omnibus vol. 1

This has been hinted at in a few threads but it deserves its own thread now the I have a real link (thanks to Chaotix12345): https://www.penguinrandomhouse.com/b...-steve-murphy/

This is good news for sure, just not exactly how I would do it. They’re obviously keeping the same theme running from that volume 2 hardcover. They should have also done “The Image Years 1996-1999” before this.

I feel like Tales vol. 1 has been collected and reprinted enough. They should have left those out, stopped at Tales #18 and called this “Tales of the TMNT: The Mirage Years 2004-2005” and stuck with that format until they hit 2010.

Back to reality, “Spinal Tapped” is an interesting inclusion. Perhaps the final volume will include the Treasury Edition epilogue. It is one of the most important pieces of Mirage, but would kind of be missing context without those new frontpieces. We’ll see.

Also weird to see Tristan Jones credited. I think his Mirage debut was Tales #36.
