New Ep Discussion: "Same As It Never Was"

I know I am not allowd to Double post, but I just saw the preview to next weeks ep!!!! Usagi is to return!!

AHAH! I KNEW that's where Leo would end up!! Er, that is, okay. Wonder if it'll be based on the UY/TMNT crossover comic...

oh yes, I beleive so also. I think Donatello is the one that is going to end the Shredder for good!!

Karais voice repeating things like 'Shredder is your master' and stuff like that reminded me of a scene from the book *and movie* 'A Wrinkle in Time'..... Except the name Shredder was replaced with 'It'. (It is your master...you cannot escape It....) *shudders* kinda freaky. Scratch that. Really freaky.

Hmm. Hadn't thought about "Wrinkle in Time". Kinda similar, yeah...

After all of this, I think the effect on Donnie will be intense. He will become obsessed with creating some tool to finally get rid of the Shredder; if I know him he will do what it takes to keep his brother's from a pretty bleak future and a horrible way to die.

That's probably true. If they continue the repercussions after this episode, Don's gonna get *real* quiet. Almost to the point of being scary.

A BIG concern for me is how parents are going to react to this. You Know people are going to make a big deal of a cartoon bloodbath...

I'm not sure what they thought about Gargoyles' "Future Tense"... I didn't hear much about it. But most parents that would be concerned about that kind of thing weren't letting their kids watch the show in the first place, thinking it was 'demonic' (heard a lot about that from my uncle, sigh). So I dunno what the reaction will be to it in Turtles.

Hun mumbling about how he wanted to be put out of his misery, Baxter adding "What about putting you out of *my* misery?!" Funniest line in the show. Not that it was that funny, but considering the rest of the events, it was hilarious.

And I do think Leo was bind. When he meet up with Raph, didn't Raph speak first? I'm pretty sure he did. To me it felt like Raph said "Leo?" and Leo was surprised asuming the turtle coming was Mikey until he heard his voice. If Leo could see I think he would have been the one to realize it was Raph first (instead of Raph realizing it was Leo) but only relying on sound he couldn't distinguish between Raph and Mikey. Or I could be completely wrong and he can see fine, and just likes the shades.

The only thing I saw that would suggest he's not is when Don rallies them up and Raph extends his hand to Leo with no words, and Leo takes it. Other than that one event (and I think you could explain it away somehow), I'd say he was blind. Like you said, when he heard Raph, he turned and held his sword ready, but didn't identify who was there until he'd spoken. When Don had knocked them both over and was holding his hands out to them, Raph took his hand, but he had to haul Leo up by the arm when he didn't take it. Leo had a shocked look on his face like he knew who'd knocked him over, but the fact that it was a wooden instrument and not a sai that did it would alert him that something was up.

I don't think it's human nature for people to kill each other. Man is inherently good, but wars are necessary from time to time to maintain a world peace.
Anyways, once again, I end my philosophical/Republican rant.

*blinks* I think man is inherently rotten myself, and I'm pretty much Republican... Christian, though. Okay, no politics, no religion, that just startled me a bit.
