I think, despite what we're shown, his brothers MUST have at least basic mechanical skills. I mean, let's generously say about 6 months have passed in the show since the old lair was destoyed (not counting the 3 months in dinoland). In that time, Don has wired the entire lair for electricity (and yes, Mikey, you can plug in the TV now), doubtless built a kitchen and bathroom (and if you guys have ever done that you know how much work it is!!!), retrofitted a truck, rebuilt his lab from scratch up to the point where he is capable of running DNA samples (unless he sends them them out to a DNA lab, which is quite possible actually since it's about as special as ordering pizza these days), repaired a helicopter (which really for Don shouldn't have been a big project)... *gasps for breath* ... built a variety of personlized and color-coordinated(!) Mutant Outbreak Containment equipment complete with massive amounts of tranquilizer (or whatever compound was in those vials), and possibly (unless it was already there) staged an indubitably elegant engineering project in which he constructs a self-contained waterproofed lair-accessible foldup helipad and tunnels under a river to install it (without, you know, dying and taking his entire family with him). Oh! And don't forget the new security system, which knowing Don comes with all sorts of secret perks. I'm sure that's not all either. Most of this without April's help, and who knows if they've even been in contact with Case since the move. Leatherhead has helped at least with the mutant outbreak equipment. Leo (was it Leo?) knows how to fly the helicopter and that's no mean feat; it stands to reason he was probably at least minimally involved in repairing it. His brothers have to have been helping him. It's just not believable otherwise (I would have said it's not "possible," but none of this is really possible!). Don is definitely a planner (he may not test all his designs, but he sure draws up some pretty schematics for them). He would have no problem, once he figures out what needs to be done, delegating work out to whatever victim volunteers. ETA: Where do they get the money? That's easy. Don's an eBay millionaire and he had April invest in Google for him. They must get the vast majority of their stuff from the scrapyards-- I think that's what Baxter's crack about the Containment Device was about, in this ep. "Amateurs!" Baxter WISHES he had the skillz Don has. That's another part that got to me in this ep... "so much for the intelligent turtle!" Grrr....... I was SO happy when Don totally thwacked Stockman across the room with the door of Stockman's apparently flimsy containment thingy. WHAP!
