With the progress they've made in animatronics in the past few years, Live action would be AWEsome...

Having CGI characters talking with live people seems disconnected. The actors are talking to tennis balls on wires. You can't respond to the little quirks and body language of a CGI character. Most people can't act to open air, and get this glazed over look in their eye.
