I'm wondering if she's disgusted with herself as well as the turtles. I imagine she's probably thinking she should have moved sooner. Of course she's probably too angry with the boys to admit that just now. I suppose we'll just have to give it a couple episodes. Hopefully not too many.

Emo Donnie?!?!?!?? Leo was bad enough in 4kids but that's crazy.

I really hope that no turtles get depressed this season. The only character who should get depressed is Karai.

I was referring to Donnie being upset over his (would-be) "girlfriend" being with Casey. Though if you ask me, I could have done without an irritating love triangle, I don't have enough Twilight jokes in me to last the whole season.

Maybe Donnie gets hurt trying to protect April from Mutagen Man and that reminds her that her Father was mutated because he had been trying to protect her.

Originally she was in shock by seeing a mutation take place and then hearing Mikey honestly inform her that they were the ones responsible her fathers Mutation just sent her over the edge.

As for Mikey I feel it was rather mature on his part to be honest and admit that. yeah they were cocky and something went wrong on the fight in the Kraang Ship resulting in mutagen getting spilled through out the city. And her father was seriously effected as a result. But it would have been better if he hadn't sounded like he was proud of it.

Maybe there should be a later moment where Donnie does promise to restore her father's humanity again...and April just says "Donnie, please don't promise what you know is impossible."

You really think April won't show up till the finale? We've seen clips with her and Casey and a clip with her and a new character named Kurtzman from NYCC. April will not disappear that long.

Very nice episode. A good opening for the new season. Not the best episode but I enjoyed it.

Animation, coloring, art, everything seems to have improved from last season. I especially enjoyed the turtles' expressions, the fluid motions and those action scenes on the ship and later with the mutated Kirby. Everything feels more vivid and alive now.

Mikey felt off though in this episode. Too many interruptions and he seemed at this worst in some of the scenes, although he also had some funny moments. Enjoyed his fly costume, how he assured Mr. O'Neill everything would be alright, and (how odd that may sound) his confession that they were to blame for the mutagen spill.

At first I didn't like how he brought the news to April, but looking back he tried (in his own clumsy way) to reassure April everything would be alright, and secondly he didn't want April to carry the burden of blaming herself for what happened. I'm still annoyed the other turtles wanted to hide the truth from April about their (unwanted) role about the Mutagen release.

The scene where April was angry at the turtles was painful to watch, but her reaction was understandable. Whenever she looks at the turtles now, she only sees the faces of those she associates with what happened to her dad. And this time she has no idea if she'll ever see her dad again or if he even can be saved.

Also, "I'll swear by Darwin's beard." Oh, come on. Couldn't the writers come up with something better? That one sentence detracted from the scene.

It was good to see Shredder and Karai as well. It was also a nice touch seeing Donnie trying to help Timothy.

Nice episode, especially fun to watch because of the action and expressions, but hopefully Mikey's portrayal here isn't an indication of future episodes.

when Donnie said it I chuckled a bit XD even though it was supposed to be serious XD

also Am I still the only one that doesn't like how Donnie seems to be the only one assuring April and trying to take on helping her dad by himself?

aren't the other turtles her friends too!? it would have been nice to hear one of the other turtles tell her that they will try their best too.....even if she wouldn't listen to them. (unless I missed it)

IDK guys...this whole Donnie and April thing is kinda making him seem like the most important turtle.

(PS.....I kinda liked it when Mikey told April the truth......he wasn't gonna let her think everything was her fault, that would be sad...and I'm kinda disappointed that the other turtles were gonna keep it a secret from her....though maybe Mikey could have put it in a better way....XD)

The show has followed trends. Donnie did become the most important turtle by the end of Season 1, probably the last 4 episodes because of Timothy, April, and saving her dad.

But during the meat of the season from New Girl in Town to Enemy of my Enemy, Leo became the most important turtle because of his relationship with Karai.

Each turtle will become more important during the season depending on who the supporting character is being focused on.

Raph will have focus with Casey and Slash no doubt. I think each of the Turtles could have reassured her, but I don't think it would have mattered. I liked how Raph told Don to give April space though.

Because if there is a cure for the mutagen to be found, he is the only one who could potentially find it.

When he said his brothers and himself would find her father, it's because he knew he would need his brothers help for the search and rescue missions.

But when it comes to the sciencey stuff he's pretty much alone in that department. Still at this point promising to restore her dad's humanity is like promising the impossible. If he says "I can't promise I will be able to restore your father's humanity, but I will do everything within my power to try." later on that would be more realistic then "I swear by Darwins beard I will not rest until I have returned your father to normal."
