Yes, true. They certainly would have been on her radar. Not to mention the Hamatos were not in good standing with the Foot after Yoshi killed Nagi.
She introduced herself aggressively and established herself as a force to be reckoned with. But they fought side by side and the truce feels really solid at the end of City at War (at least as far is it lies within Karai's purview). She was appreciative and definitely respected them after that.
But you also never really get inside her head. She's a fascinating character for sure. I love how you see her humanity and how devasted she is when her daughter dies, but then she's completely stoic on the matter after they succeed and part ways.
