Don: Leo, Mike, what happened?

Leo: oh nothing, i just ruined my reputation and everything else with Machias... *remains flopped out on his bed, his face stricken with guilt.*

Mike: Well, we better tell the others that-

Voice: That will not be necessary.

*The three brothers turned to see Master Splinter standing in the doorway...*

*Raph sat next to Kali, holding her hand* You need anything?
*smiles* No, I'm fine. Raph, you have to stop being so hard on Leo.
Raph: What for, the guy's...

Raph: Who, by the way, has the hots for you.
*grins* You're so cute when you're jealous.
Raph: I'm not jealous!

*Splinter looked to his sons and made some quick decisions.*

Sp: Donatello, Michaelangelo, we are going to go and look for Machias.

Leo: But, Sensei, what about-

Sp:NO. I am going to take your place. You are to remain in your room until caled upon. There has been too much hostility and heartache in this (household?), and it is going to be put to an end tonight.
*He turned to his other sons with a look of determination.*

Sp: Let us begin our search.

*They headed out of the caves, and beginning their scouring of he cliffs, leaving Leonardo to frement in his room, and Rahael with his stricken love...*

I know you are. You and Leo have always had that sort of relationship. You both secretly wish you were a bit more like the other.

*gives him an "have you even been here the last week?" look*
Raph: Oh, yeah. *he grabs her hand* But he ain't gettin' you.
Raph, I'm still kinda upset with you.
Raph: Me, why?
Because! *sigh* Did you really think I had been seeing Leo?
Raph: No. Okay, maybe. Well, I knew how he felt. I knew he was hiding something that had to do with you.
And you distrusted me enough to suspect that I was going to go off with him.
*Raph leaned forward and rested his head next to hers* I'm sorry. I was being stupid.
*strokes Raph's cheek* I know.

*Leo passed by the Study to get a drink, hearing Kali and Raphael talking. He knew if they saw him, they'd tell Splinter, and he'd be digging his grave even deeper. He listened for a moment before going back upstairs. He was almost out of the door's view when he stepped on a sharp rock, causing him to curse softly. His shoulders dropped when he saw Raph at the door, looking at him...*

*Meanwhile, Machias laid out along the edge of the bejeweled pond, looking at her reflection angrily, when she heard a sof footstep. She looked at the water's reflection to see not just her own, but Splinter's as well...*

*Raph glared at Leo* What do you want? Haven't you done enough damage?

Leo: I just wanted a drink of water. *he lowers his gaze* And maybe to see how Kali's doing.

Raph: Then go get your water because Kali's fine.

Wait *they hear Kali's voice call from the room* I want to talk to Leo.

Raph: But-

Alone.

*Raph fumed* I'm gonna be right outside.

*Splinter sat beside her, and looked at her intently. She felt her gaze drop and returned her gaze to the water's reflections. Splinter put a gentle hand on her face, and turned her to look into her eyes. she quickly broke down and spilled her heart out to Splinter...*

*leo kept a nervous eye on his brother, and approached the bed slowly. He opened his mouth to say something, but she beat him to it...*

Leo, I'm not mad at you. *when he didn't answer she continued* You can't live the rest of your life like this, Leo.

Leo: How should I live my life? Recently it seems that all I'm doing is hurting people. I can't keep going like that. It's obvious. You guys can have fun when I'm not around, you enjoy yourselves. It would be better if I weren't around.

*Kali smiles* Leo: What?

Nothing. It's just that that's what I was thinking a few days ago. It seemed to me the *I* was the reason for all the trouble around here. That it would be better if I weren't around.

*Leo looked shocked* No, that's not true! No one wants to see you go.

And no one wants to see you go!

*Leo leaned in close and lowered his voice so Raph couldn't hear* I still love you. Please don't do anything like that again.

Believe me, I don't plan on it.

...And that's why i feel like this. That stupid fear! *pounds fists on ground* i hate this! I wish everything could be put back to normal...

*She laid her head against Splinter's leg, sighing. Splinter put a hand on the back of her head, easing away some of the stress with his healing touch.*

Sp: Come back to the caves and talk to Leonardo. I am sure he would understand if you told him what you have told me.

*lifts her head* But i cant, not after what i said! What if he still is mad at me? What if-

Sp:If...is a very big word. It can cause even the slightest worry to grow out of proportions. You can lose all confidence with 'If'. You will not know how Leonardo reacts unless you go and face him directly, such as you did in facing me about leaving the caves after the restrictions.

*thinks for a moment*
Will--will you come with me...?

Sp:I will Always be with you...

*Machias and Splinter stood, and with a gentle push-off, she started back towards the caves to face her fear...*

Leo: yeah, but it was fun..

I wish i could have seen the look on their faces.*sees Splinter eyeing him* that is..um--er...so i could, um--deduce thefacts, so that...I mean--

Sp: There is no need to hide your amusement of the trick, though i had disapproved of it.

*Splinter looked at his two children, pleased to see them getting along once again. Hopefully, this would begin to put everything back into place.*

Sp:Is it correct to assume that you have put your past agressions behind you?

*Leo and Machias nodded, both bearing a very similar lop-sided smile. Splinter smiled his deep fatherly smile, and spoke.*

Sp:I will trust your testimony. Leonardo, since you seem to have worked things out with everyone, i will allow you out of your room.

Leo: Does that mean Im off restriction as well?

Sp:*arches eyebrow* do not push it, my son... *smirk* You will stay on restriction for the fighting, but you may move about the lair freely.

Leo: Thank you Sensei.*bows respectfully*

I guess everythings back to normal, right?
