Basically Vol. 2, Vol. 4 and both volumes of Tales are all said to be continuity. It's just Vol. 1 that's not all in continuity. I believe the official list (or at least a list given out by Dan around the time Vol. 4 started when fans were first asking about this stuff) is something like Vol. 1 #1-15, 19-21, 27-29, 45-62, the four Turtle one-shots and Fugitoid. I'm not sure about #17 but since it's just Michelangelo telling a story it doesn't affect continuity one way or another. Thad I actually did work out a timeline for City at War at one point (I worked out in either direction from Christmas and used whatever references I could, like the length of pregnancy, to determine how long had passed). I think I ended up with it running from something like October to March. I'm going to redo that more accurately when I get to that point on my more detailed timeline. |

I reread it a few months ago, including skimming the lettercols, and I could SWEAR the letters page said real-time. I might have to go back and look.

City at War was said to be in real time and take place over an entire year, but when I sat and worked it out based on what was said and done in the comics it worked out shorter.
Like I said this is mostly based around Gabe's pregnancy. In #53 she says she's 4 months pregnant and events so far imply that only a week or so has past at most. Assuming a full Pregnancy that implies Shadow is born 5 months later. Now April's father dies before Shadow is born and in #62 April says it's only been a month since her father died. Working out roughly where Christmas falls this does put the story at running roughly October to late March/early April. I can't find my more detailed notes, but I'll work it out again when I reach that point on the new timeline I'm working on. |
