Pretty good two parter, the first part was good as was the second part as well but it kind of finished a bit early I think and then tried to fill it up with the escape, I've been liking the past few episodes a little more, I had grown a bit tired of the show and while the newer episodes don't blow my mind at least they're enjoyable. Random thoughts and questions:

So bradford is still featured in Magazines? I like the detective guy, neat idea but I wish they handled him a little better. Splinter fights way too much on this show, I liked it when we saw him fight in the other shows but here he does it far too much I think, similar to the first movie where Splinter defeats Shredder kind of diminishes the actual turtles ability. Tigerclaw wasn't bad but I can't help but feel this show is a mutantfest, jeeeze. The worm/quake parts of the episodes were rather lame though. The easter egg of the OT was nice but too bad we were told it was a crossover at first when it really wasn't. And of course the ending was simply amazing, wasn't expecting it and the OT turtles were treated exactly how they were in the OT and not a parody of themselves like in Turtles Forever.

Two questions: Was April's cellphone a tone similar to the NES TMNT games or another reference? And was the easter egg of OT casey Jones and the turtles actually from the OT? It seemed like it but I'm unsure. There's only like 4 Casey episodes in the OT so it shouldn't be hard to check.

He might be, but it's very hard to tell without anymore references to it. More then likely the magazine would run Bradford's image for a set time, then once that was over he wouldn't appear anymore unless the contract was renewed.

I think the detective now acts as a sort of quick 'exposition fairy' so the Turtles don't have to spend valuable screen time figuring out what the worms were.

I don't mind this Splinter fighting as much, since all he did before was sit in the lair all day. It gets rid of the feeling that he'd rather put the Turtles in danger then help fight threats himself.

I do agree with the idea that this is a mutant-fest, I hope they leave off of the additional mutants for a while and start/continue developing the ones they have.

I wouldn't mind a crossover if it wasn't for Turtles Forever, as TF was so bad for me that I hope to never see anything resembling it ever again. I'm glad that others could enjoy it, but I find the TF to be nightmare fuel.

I'm hoping we get one down the line as well. Just glad to have the original voice actors back and that so far they're acting like their 87 selves. Yep, all 10 seconds or so we've seen of them. haha Glad they weren't presented to us as an over the top parody this time around. Hope TigerClaw makes his way back to the 2012 dimension soon.

I know it's probably unlikely but I'd like it if Tigerclaw's rival that cut off his tail was Usagi. I'm not sure that's even a mystery the writers intend to answer.

Even if it wasn't originally, they could retcon it if they have Usagi appear.

not sure if anyone's mentioned this but what on earth happened to Karai and the foot clan after the tower crushed Leo?

They were fighting the turtles - leo kicks karai out of the way of the tower - themesong plays - the turtles rescue leo - the foot are nowhere to be seen. Was I missing something?

That reminds me, it's a little interesting that the Alliance between the Kraang and Shredder hasn't been seen in a while. I wonder how Tiger Claw would react to the alliance as he was mutated by the Kraang.

Has another 80s turtles cameo been confirmed or are people hoping/assuming there's another one? I know Rob said 80s Raph and Don talk but it could have just been edited out of this episode. And Ciro did tell everyone that the 80s turtles would literally just have a small cameo.

The voice actors said they recorded "multiple lines" along with Rob saying his Raph and Don interact.

They only said a few lines in this episode, so logic dictates they already recorded lines for a future episode.

I loved this one hour special! Finally caught up with it on youtube tonight. The appearances of the OT turtles were awesome, I even chuckled at Mikey's line calling them dorks haha. I love in the end how the worm ended up in their dimension and they got the end-of-episode comic freeze-frame treatment. Also props to hearing some of those original voice actors again!

The cheesephone was also just perfect, I was hoping that would've been followed by Splinter sliding down a pole into the Shellraiser or a turtle symbol transition, haha. The worms were like something out of Tremors, but still pretty cool. Tigerclaw was an awesome villain. Anyone else laugh when he started lapping the milk and purring???

Overall, great 1 hour special. Only thing I wished was a longer battle between Shredder and Splinter.

Yeah, I wanted to see more between Shredder and Splinter as well but there are plenty more episodes to go, so ya never know. I was hoping to see a bit more of their pasts but still hoping for that later on. I also laughed when TigerClaw lapped up milk and purred. I own two cats, so there ya go. lol They're much nicer than TC and would hopefully be good guys if they were mutants. I wish we could have seen more Baxter. I have a feeling that things are going to happen very fast the next time we see him.

Or, they recorded multiple lines for one episode. Could have easily had been that they recorded for one episode and that was the lines and direction they ended up using. I just think it's pretty unlikely they'll do another episode with a cameo like that. What would be the point, especially since they want the show to continue to stand on it's own two feet.
