Bishop is really lower than low. That's just tacky, scaring people to death just to ensure your funding.

Poor Don, poor guys! They were just trying to save the President, not get themselves on the front page, as nasty slimy aliens...

But you know, there had to be some witnesses at the United Nations who saw the aliens, and they're gonna know that they were tall and blue... so there's going to be some confusion as to just WHAT people saw.

The crawling skin thing Bishop was having: Okay.... NOW what?

Raph stopping Leo, saying they need a plan first: oh, this role reversal is just so funny!

Points I have:

1. I thought the EPF was a secret organization. I mean, before the Triceraton invasion, people would have laughed at the idea of the government having something to protect the Earth. But after the invasion, maybe they came out in the open, to make the people feel like something was being done to address the problem. So I guess that's not a big deal.

2. Twice in the end, they called it the "Earth Defense Force". But it's the Earth Protection Force. Goof? *shrug* Things like that bother me. :p

Quote:
I liked Bishop's walls of specimens. You could see and point out a lot of the aliens we've seen through the seasons.
Yeah, it was good, it just kinda bugs me when they're straight off the model sheet. :p Actually, I thought they should have varied them a little more; Bishop has an inordinant amount of Utroms in his custody. I didn't think there even were that many on Earth. Aside from that, I'm still pretty darn sure he knew exactly what the Shredder really was. Anyway, I had my eye out for new critters that may show up later, but they were obviously just filler "oh yeah, a bunch of aliens", and they weren't letting us see them too well.

Quote:
The conversations among the four boys was great. Leo doesn't *sound* like he's got something in his throat anymore. He's still.. intense, but he doesnt sound as aggressive.
See, he was in a good mood that time. What? You can't tell the difference? Well, neither can anyone else. :p

Quote:
Ya know, I woulda THOUGHT that with the Prez laying right NEXT to the turtles, he coulda heard some of what they were saying.. oyvey. Well, least we know Bishop's going to be around for a while..
I think he was busy freaking out at the moment; he probably wouldn't have comprehended what they were saying anyway. It's hard to figure out what's going on when you're terrified. :p

Quote:
As Katie said, I can just imagine what Splinter's going to do once he sees this new slip-up with the boys being portrayed as the aliens that attacked the president.
Aww... they were just trying to keep the President safe... it's not like they just decided to go running around in public or anything. They blew it, but their hearts were in the right place... *pouts*

Quote:
After last week it was like part of that nightmare came true! Their picture is all across the airwaves and print media!
Well... the world's already seen Don's face, so that's not entirely new. The unfortunate thing, this time, is that now they've been pinpointed in New York. Alien hunters are gonna concentrate there now.

Wait... after reading the other messages in this thread -- am I the only one who thinks that broadcast with Don and the Prime Leader was a worldwide thing?
Quote:
Perhaps Bishop is one of those freaky people who is sustaining himself with his experiments, and things are slowly falling apart? (Or at least they do until he finds a way to patch up the problem temporarily)
Considering how long he's been around, he's most probably found all sorts of ethically questionable methods for keeping himself healthy. Perhaps the skin-crawling is something he's used to dealing with.

Quote:
I wonder where the heck they keep getting those fangs?!
LOL, I think the reports were getting mixed up. The Exploding Wonders had sharp teeth and red eyes, and so did the drawing of the guys.

Quote:
Obviously the goop running into the sewers is setting up for something, with the dramatic close-up and background music
Really? I didn't interpret it that way at all. I didn't even give a thought to the goop going into the sewers... I thought it was just a parting shot, "we're putting the city back together" thing, and the shot of the drains just referenced that the reporter was talking about the Turtles. I guess there could be some repercussions... Hmm.

Quote:
Is it me, or does the artists rendering of the turtles look very similar to the turtles in Leatherhead's nightmare in last season's "Hunted"?
It's the teeth. The ones in the dream had claws and forked tongues, too, and these don't. These have red eyes, those didn't.

Quote:
I didn't come out of this going "Wow!" like I did for, say, "Grudge Match" or "I, Monster." There wasn't as much fighting, and when there was, it was pretty standard. Not bad, but standard.
They can't all make us drool. (Oh, and I forgot to say earlier, I love your redesign of Klunk! I may have to do one too now. )

Quote:
And WHY always New York? Does ANYone have a theory about this?
The Triceraton invasion was the whole world. They just did most of their searching in New York, because that's where the traced signal ended up.

The Utroms ended up in New York, because... why not? They had to end up somewhere. The only reason Splinter and the guys are there too is because Yoshi moved to New York with the Utroms, and by necessity, if the ooze was going to contaminate something, it'd probably be in New York.

Now, why was the President in New York when the invasion was staged? Um... because of the United Nations, I think. They had a reason, just can't remember the exact wording.

Or, because Siberia just wouldn't draw the same sort of publicity as New York City...

Well I set my VCR to record and I got jipped. I watched up to the part where Bishop comes in to "save" the prez, and the prez asks Bishop to save him. Then the turtles duck down right near the prez while Bishop and his Black Ops shoot at them. At that point the tape just cuts out. I'm still unsure why it did that, if anyone paid attention at all did the show run longer than usual? Because the past times I've set it, the show was more than over before the time. I set it from 10:30-11 and the tape did not run out either.

But by reading the posts I have an idea of the ending, but if someone could fill me in with some detail, I'd highly appreciate it.

And just in my opinion, I don't like how Bishop is turning out to be something other than human, or altered. I think it would be better if he were just a normal human who is a monster in the art of combat. It would be more realistic and better to me. Why does the bad-ass always have to be an alien or mutation?

I'll do it as well as I can remember.

After the guys duck to avoid being shot at, they realize the situation has been turned on them and decide to get out of there. After the shooting stops, Bishop approaches the President, who pretty much promises that whatever Bishop wants - money, men, etc. - he's got it. And of course we get a great smirk out of Bishop. Son of a monkey. *seethes*

Anyway, the guys are watching the news later (and you can just tell by their postures on the couch that they're pretty bummed about the day's adventures). The president gives a statement and an "artist's rendering" of the "aliens" is shown, which is basically the TMNT with glowy red eyes, fangs, and red masks. (all four of them - yeehaw!) This gets a good double take from the guys. Maaan, they're in trouble.

Then street cleaners are shown working on the nasty alien goo, and we get a nice closeup of the stuff running into the sewers. Is it going to create future problems? Only time will tell, I guess.

This is only from memory, so if anyone wants to fill in anything I may have missed...

And what's up with next week's episode? I have no clue what it's about.
I hope not. I would rather it just be a Tricerton that was captured before they retreated at the end of "Worlds Collide" and not Zog. He is better off dead.

Anyway nice episode.

Off Topic I finally saw Bad Day. Great episode. It almost made me think the Turtles are in deep sh*t after seeing Bishop making them known to the public and their belove ones getting killed.

I was surprised to see the Mystic Foot again, haven't seen them since Return to New York part 2. And there now on Karai's side. Guess she hasn't forgiven the turtles for what they did to her master. Poor girl she wants vengences for her master even though he was evil. Hope our heros will be forgiven later in Season 4/

I think it would be cool if the turtles attacked Bishop's Lab and found Zog still alive. Speaking of the turtle's allies, I wonder where Leatherhead is?

Anyways, I thought it was really cool how Raph saved Donnie from being blasted by Bishops machine gun wrist blaster. Raph's "Ah, I wanted to hear him hit the bottom" when Bishop fell through a tube in the ship was great, lol.

I really enjoyed this episode as well, even though my local affiliate screwed up and aired some commercials over the episode. Grr..

Yahoo! TV has next week's new episode title. It's #88: "Dragon's Rising".

The preview of the next episode made me think of Batman , due to the way Leo was threatening a punk. He's like the only turtle who's changed his attitude during this season. I wouldn't blame him since there's still crooks and villians running around even without Shredder around.

OVerall a good ep...the aliens were kinda neat and bishop is getting more and more twisted everyday...I like where things are going and am glad they didn't over emphasize Leos "new mood" like they have been lately, cuz for me, its getting old.

I really don't think it's Zog. Remember the guys knocked out a whole bunch of Triceratons in the invasion. It would have been pretty easy for Bishop to snatch the ones that the Republic didn't notice to pick up. Or from that ship that sunk, or the ones in the sewer or in the park they knocked out those two trikes (one who had his face mask cracked, I wonder if he's still alive). It's actually pretty interesting to think of these things. But anyways I think if they did make Zog alive it probably would've cheapened his sacrifice that he made for the turtles (which they did anyways because Shreddar survived and got away).

Anyways what I want to see is if the turtles will rescue the aliens this season. And if so what'll happen to them. Will they move into the sewers take up a residence (much like the mutates move into the Labyrinth in "Gargoyles")? Would they be allies to the turtles? Would they move into Leatherhead's empty (assuming it is as he's "presumed" dead) old subway station? The possibilities are endless.

This episode was great. I never knew Bishop was involved with Roswell. I don't get how Area 51 had to do with aliens when it's actually a testin' facility for planes such as the SR-71 Blackbird and F-117 Nighthawk. Wikipedia has a pic of a sign near Rachel, Nevada that says "The Extraterrestrial Highway," aka Nevada State Route 375. I figured I should give some info about Area 51 so it won't as mysterious to some people. Anyways, the action was great. The aliens weren't much of a threat and I thought Bishop was gonna explode when he started to decompse. I like how the invasion was faked, but I thought the saucers were gonna deliever aliens. The aliens that Bishop created were too derivative of the aliens you fight in the recent Area 51 game IMHO. I especially liked how the Turtles handled Bishop and his armed techno dudes in that assualt vehicle that Bishop rode in. His techno suit reminded me of the Borgs of Star Trek and it made me think he would always be like that. I don't see why the president had to call the Turtles aliens when they aren't. That was weird how Bishop's men destroyed the aliens that he created. Anyone notice that?

I give this episode a five out of five. Next week's episode looks like it'll be a new direction for the Turtles.

Well in Stargate and the TMNT-verse Area 51 has always been about the aliens.

In the Archie series one of the turtles (I think it was Raphael) was caught and sent to Area 51 where he met a Roswell alien. The alien helped him escape.

And if I remember correctly there was an alien invasion at Area 51 in the Image series.

Ewwwwwww! that scene made my skin crawl!

I go to Vegas alot and one of my favoritest things to do is go as close to area 51 as i can before i start seeing guards look concerned...that adrenaline junkie thing.....Something about knowing those guards have shoot to kill orders

but yeah, that has always been a mythos of area 51. The place where the Roswell aliens are stored. Suppose that would make an interesting end of season cliffhanger if one or more of teh guys got shipped off to area 51 for dissection...EEK!

kinda cool that this season shows the president(fictional since a lot of Tv shows don't feature a presidnet resimbeling the actul one in service). And Area 51 as well.

Which is one of the most mysterious places to date.

Hmmmm...... After doing some thinking I wonder if Bishop has Leatherhead again like he did in season 3. It wouldn't be suprising since both Leatherhead and Bishop were at Shredder's building at the same time and we haven't seen Leatherhead in season 4 yet. Also, it's too bad that Bishop never got to fight Shredder. I doubt he ever will, now that Shredder is in the "Popsicle Zone" lol.
