Well, it was certainly an interesting issue. Never thought I'd see the Cowboys of Moo Mesa ever again. Will wonders never cease...
Though the preview for the next issue intrigues me. Granted, I'm a sucker for any issues about the Shredder and/or his legacy (or even something like the ghost issue with Oroku Nagi). I have to wonder if perhaps this issue is being made with the goal of making the Mirage Universe a little closer to the cartoon that was originally based on it, though. Perhaps this will show Karai becoming the the Shredder in the past before she ends up how she is the in the current comics. Though now that I think that over, I guess it wouldn't make as much sense. If I recall correctly, in the comics Karai has no relationship to the Shredder outside of being in the Foot Clan, right? Granted, if it isn't Karai, I don't know who it could be. At least since its the Mirage Universe TMNT. April playing a prank?

Great comic! I remembering watching Cowboys of MooMesa in jr high, even my english teacher watched it...My favorite joke was when Raph was rambling about how bulls are male and cows are female but that these cows were boys!

Okay I don't collect the comics but I want to get this one so badly. The Cowboys were a great show.

When I wrote Laird and my letter was previewed in issue 25, he said that we'd see what was up with Karai. This could be the backstory we've been needing to inform us more on issue either 3 or 4 of the current TMNT comic: Why she was picturing those Foot to be the turtles the whole time she was sparring.... I'm freakin' stoked to see what this issue is going to be about. Now that I have pleanty of time on my hands... you better believe I'll be watching for it!!
I just skimmed this issue as I picked it up on monday... I'm really more excited about reading 26 of TMNT than this one. Maybe it's just because I'm a loser like that.

Interesting issue. I never saw the tv series so this was my first look at C.O.Wboys of Moo Mesa.
I loved how Raph got hungry for a burger and Splinter grounded him. In the end with the 4 sacred turtles around earth. I noticed that they had 3 toes and 5 fingers!

What's up with Karai in the comics right now anyway?
I have most of City at War, and she seemed to be on good terms with them in the end. She didn't strike me as the type who would backstab them, especially after so many years of peace between them... |

Read it today.
Well, the story is rather simple - Moo-Mesa cowboys come through the portal, team up with TMNT, bust Terrorbull after a short fight, retrieve the crystal and return safely to their bovine dimension. The end. I experienced more spectacular TMNT stories, this one's rather standard.

I read this issue yesterday and I thought it was great. I really liked the plot, the action, and the art. The cowboys dialogue was creatively written and it really fit the characters. I probably saw the cartoon when it aired, but I vaguely remember it. This issue kinda brought back some memories and it was nostalgic for me. I'd like to see a TMNT and Moo Mesa crossover comic again. It would be great if it had a different villain, too.
