I think "Take Me to Your Leader" is one of the more serious episodes of the 1987 TMNT cartoon. But I also remember Donatello saying "The Sun hs now shrinking, making it in the same size as the other stars. The Sun isn't the largest star, but because the other stars are so far away from Earth, we see them smaller. Some stars are smaller than the Sun, others bigger.

One of my fave episodes. I loved the cheesiness of the dream with Shredder's plan of taking all the world's cheese danishes, and Donnie comes in with 'wait Shredder, alot of people need those cheese danishes!" And the swapping between the turtles deciding who would lead. I liked Mikey's part. It was ironic that of all incarnations of the TMNT, OT Raph didn't really want the role and gave it up as quick as he could.

My favorite part is when Donatello is trying to figure out which way east is and Raphael points in the direction, but Don keeps on calculating.

I like when they come to the school, and when Leonardo realizes the entire Earth is in danger, as it's snow on the bridge and some man say's people are talking about weather, but not do anything.

I got a big laugh out of seeing Shredder draining the sun and actually being able to store all that solar energy into some huge solar batteries. ;p

Raph was not the resident badboy in the OT like in all the other incarnations of TMNT. Any other Raph would have jumped at the chance to take charge.

I do recall Don being bossy and bark out orders with Leo present on several occasions and didn't perform too well to lead in this episode.

Just goes to show that only Leo can lead even though the others even Mikey do have potential.

So in the opening dream sequence, Raph squares up on Rocksteady and calls him “Hog breath”.

You could assume this was a script/animation error and that this line was supposed to be directed at Bebop, but I think it’s much funnier to assume he was calling them gay and accusing him of sucking Bebop off.
