OT: What version of the arcade game is that in your sig? It doesn't look much like the coin-op but it doesn't look like the NES version, either.

It's the arcade version. I used to spend my entire allowance on this game. good times.

The coloring and textures seem slightly different than any version of the arcade I've ever seen. That, and I never remember the sword-weilding Foots to wear pink. That's why I asked.

Actually now that you mention it, the graphics and colors in the sig do differ. Good eye.

Raph's simply using his sai how they are meant to be used and yes that does mean they are a throwing weapon. Traditionally, they were carried in 3s, two at the side, one for throwing. Raph's right one target when he throws one.

And besides, it looks so darn cool and bad ass when he throws them too! So I'm not complaining.

Sorry for veering off topic, but Neutrino's sig was bothering me. Had to find out which version it was from. Well, looks like it has screens taken from the DOS version (Scroll down):

Looks like there were quite a few ports. Never knew there were so many.

I've been watching the season 4 old school toon boxset and Raphs sais look so weird looking. the prongs are really short, oddly shapped and too thick. I don't remember them being like that in the first season. But it's been awhile since I've seen the first season, so maybe it's always been like that and I just didn't notice.

Yeah his sais look rediculous in some episodes. The long middle prong is sometimes drawn the same length as the hand guard prongs in the OT. That always bothered me.
