Season 1 of 2k3 had plenty of funny moments. Besides, I'd rather have my TMNT with alot of action and hit or miss humor than having episodes with such lame animation/action/plot devices that it totally relies on comedy.

Gotta agree with you I don't remember what it was but I seriously found myself laughing out loud during the "Ice Creature Cometh" episode.
Besides how much I love that episode I thought the humor was great that's seriously the best thing about the old Toon besides the interesting characters.
And I really think that's something that's missing very much from all the new tmnt production all of the characters feel stale and generic.
