nice how my topic must have been deleted, even though I started it half an hour before the show began...

Good ep...kinda sad....definately meant to be a break between storylines.

They are. As a comic book and probably a new toon to follow, though it's going to be for the 14 and up crowd, since the GBs smoke and stuff. Think of it as GB3.

I liked it. Not the best ep, but I liked it.

I'm half-hoping and half-dreading THAT scenario, dontebell.

Anyway, as I said in the last new discussion thread, it's nice to move away from the continuous arc once in a while, but not for too long. I'm glad next week's ep will be going back to the Saki arc.

Whoa, I thought I was the only one who was reminded of the CGI pilot during the junkyard battle!

I don't think we'll see him again. This season, anyway.

The episode reminded me of a segment from the CGI pilot too, the dialouge was similar too.

Overall, the episode was enjoyable, but I enjoy the serial format. I don't know if it's just me, but I like the Turtles a lot more when they're fighting Shredder and the Foot. I don't really dig giant robots, utroms, the giant triceratops or any similar alien beings. I like the realism provided by ninjas and the Shredder. Although how realistic are ninja turtles?

The episode also reminded me of a Batman Beyond episode where a kid could control metal objects and built a giant robot.

I enjoyed the interaction between Casey and April and I think the guy who does the voice for Casey also did the voice for "daddy." I'm so glad that the Fox Box airs the old episodes early Saturday, b/c I missed the last one, "Meet Casey Jones." I caught it this morning. It's so similar to the Raphael microseries, which rocks and I loved it when Mike said, "I'm the pretty one."

I'm also impressed how all the turtles are distinct personalities this time out. Leonardo is focused, while Mike likes to have fun, Donatello likes to work with technology, while Raphael is the cocky, hot head. Their is more distinct characteristics portrayed in these five episodes then the whole run of the original series.

Finally, how tight would it be if they released the whole first season on DVD once it has aired. An affordable 3 disc set like the Simpsons season sets would rock. I'd buy that in a heart beat. I also hope they release the first season, the 5 episode serial, of the original series since that's the only season worth owning.

Sorry for the rant.

Where's Waldo

Man, the Turtles kick so much ass. I love them ever so much. And Giant robots. But this robot was just so.........stupid. I liked the masks to show emotion, very creative. But I want to see the Shredder kick some ass. Why hasn't he done anything yet?

Not the best episode, but still good. I cannot wait for shredder and more of the foot in the next episode!

I agree with most of you it was a mediocre episode. Although storyline wise there were some important developments. Casey and April meet and we finally see the Second Time Around Shop.

I did like the action at the end of the episode. The Nanotech Monster was a litte creepy if I don't say so myself. The child like screams and "Daddy" were a little freaky. I also sort of liked the conman that used the Nanotech Monster.

Oh, I wouldn't say 'mediocre'.
