I doubt the live-action movie would use old toon characters. I expect a strict Shredder/Foot Vs. TMNT origin story.

Nick isn't that stupid.

With Nick being in complete control of the Turtles now and with how nothing's come out of them or Mirage about the movie, they could very easily turn it to CG and throw Krang in there like it's nobody's business. I just hope that they do what you said instead.

As long as it doesn't become the sole face of the TMNT. That's why I still have major trepidations about the buyout. This is a fine idea for a cartoon, as long as there are other versions available in some way, shape or form. Even if it's just TPBs and whatnot.
First of all 2k3 show will still air on CW4kids till 2012, and there are probably many fans of it! If Nick cancels adgier 2k3 or comics fans will kill them (by hate mails ), I actually think Nick will help publishing comics. Maybe they'll put them on commercial or something! I think we will have a variety of turtles lol

Everyone shut the f*ck up about the tone. I'm so sick and tired of hearing everyone whine about the "serious" TMNT that, even as a fan of them, I hope they die and stay dead just to piss you all off.

They keep saying the world is going to end for years...

Never happened.

I still think the FF series was better off being more on focus. They did bring out teh Dark Turtles... and everyone wonders... "Well, whats going to happen to our fav dark clones!?"

I just said I was a fan of the "darker" TMNT. I don't hate them at all, in fact, it's my favourite iteration of the characters and franchise.

Man, a movie with Rocksteady, Bebop and Krang would be the coolest thing ever. We got our dark Turtle movies but I still feel like I was ROBBED of having Rocksteady and Bebop in Secret of the Ooze. I'd love to see those two on the big screen.

I do think this means the end of the different iterations of TMNT (dark 2K3 cartoon, darker black and white comics, "retro" style stuff)... I think Nickelodeon will market under one unified style. It'd be nice to see Ryan Brown involved but I won't hold my breath.

Maybe they'll continue to license the "retro" style stuff. Who knows?

If this "1980s Turtles" tone is what they're going for, I hope it's more along the lines of Season 1 and not so much Season 4-ish. Gimmie all the Krang and Technodrome you want, but I want ninja action insetad of slapstick.

This is one of the first sensible things I've read during this entire whiny b*tch-fest, and I fully agree with it.
